Anderson Cooper loses his cool on air, calls GOP governor a vulgar word to his face

CNN’s Anderson Cooper allowed his usually demure demeanor to slip while talking with Republican Governor Chris Sununu, uttering a vulgar phrase in his frustration.

The work of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and Elon Musk has sent the left into a chronic meltdown, sparking hysterics from Democrats, media personalities and union members. One would think that eliminating wasteful spending that throws tax dollars down the drain would be more of a positive experience, but now one of the more even-keeled CNN anchors is unable to keep his cool while discussing the topic.

Watch:

“It’s 23 days in here, guys, 23 days, and you’re talking about $2.3 billion that was saved last year, these guys are saving $2.3 billion a day,” Sununu argued.

“That’s what they’re saying, but where’s the proof?” Jeffrey Toobin asked.

“You’re not going to be satisfied until he shows up with ten thousand pages-” Sununu responded, the rest of his point getting lost in the panel’s crosstalk.

“He’s giving very specific things but he’s not giving any evidence of that,” Cooper interjected.

“It’s all going to come because what they also said was, if we have to go to Congress, we’ll go to Congress,” the governor pointed out.

“Well some of the details that have come out like, you know the $59 million spent on luxury hotels, it’s actually not…” Cooper said.

“The FEMA money that was used for migrants?” Sununu asked. “FEMA money for migrants? That’s okay now?”

“I’m not saying it’s OK, don’t put words in my mouth. Don’t be a d*ck,” Cooper said, shocking the panel. “What I’m saying is, the portrayal by him is just not factually accurate.”

Later on in the episode, Cooper apologized for his use of language.

This didn’t stem the anger from X users:
