Another classic cartoon character is set to be overhauled to fit the modern “woke” times with the tale of Disney’s beloved deer Bambi next up on the chopping block.
In the new and improved version, a critical plot element, the death of the young Bambi’s beloved mother who is shot and killed by a human hunter, could be left out so as to not risk offending the delicate sensitivities of modern audiences.
Writer Lindsey Anderson Beer who is working on the script for the live-action remake of the 1942 big-screen animated film said that today’s more “sensitive” generation could have difficulty dealing with that particular element of the original and suggested that it could be scrapped.

“Not to spoil the plot, but there’s a treatment of the mom dying that I think some kids, some parents these days are more sensitive about than they were in the past,” she told entertainment website Collider in a recent interview.
“I do think there is a way to update Bambi and our take on it was… did give a little bit more of a scope to it,” she said. “And I just think that to be able to bring it to life for kids these days in a way that maybe they relate to a little bit more would be of service to the original.”

Movie fans who have already seen Disney desecrate other classics like “Snow White” and “The Little Mermaid” with rebooted versions that are more compatible with left-wing cultural dominance took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their disapproval of tampering with the original, which has entertained generations of kids for over 80 years.
A modernised Bambi? Pretty sure that story would still work today, just as it is?

They are going to go woke and ruin it. Bambi will have to apologize for his/her privilege

We are gonna see lesbians gay asexual bisexual and every thing else except the original story

The whole point of the movie is growing up, and sometimes you will face hardship. This will be dead on arrival without the emotional punch of the death of his mother.

I can’t wait to see how Disney will also destroy Bambi.

They need to create new stuff. Stop ruining classics with woke ideology

Watching Disney implode is quite entertaining.

Is there a movie that Disney DOESN’T want to defecate on?

Dragging out classics from the graves & putting on shiny new clothes to squeeze more money out of them is disrespectful to their legacy. You’re meant to be a creative company, stop rehashing and go create!

“The original movie, released in 1942, told the story of a young fawn named Bambi as he learns his place in the forest. With his two best friends, a rabbit named Thumper and a skunk named Flower, Bambi comes of age as he faces the joys and heartache — cue the loss of a parent — of growing up,” according to The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported on the remake in 2020.
