U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) threw in her two cents on protecting the institution of women’s sports, siding with the dudes pretending to be chicks to gain an unfair competitive advantage against real female athletes.
The socialist diva is stumping for Democrat candidates in the rapidly approaching midterm elections as she mulls what now seems to be an inevitable White House run, hitting the campaign trail in Maine with Troy Jackson, who hopes to replace longtime GOP incumbent Susan Collins.
During the joint appearance at a town hall-style event hosted by More Perfect University in Portland on Friday, AOC branded herself as a defender of men in women’s sports because she’s a “girl’s girl” while lamenting that some in her party haven’t been sufficiently committed to support of the transgender movement.

“I don’t support the rights of trans people just to protect my own rights,” she told the crowd before breaking into nervous laughter. “But I support the rights of trans women because I’m a girl’s girl.”
“And I think that all of our bodily autonomy is tied together,” she added. “The right to choose over our bodies is the right to choose over our bodies.”
It was such a loopy answer that Kamala Harris would be proud.
Ocasio-Cortez was responding to a question from a member of the audience who said that they were a “transgender student at the University of Southern Maine” who expressed dismay that the Democratic Party now sees transgenderism as a “losing issue” and that “it’s not worth defending us.”
“What’s so important for everyone to understand is that the moment you try to compromise the rights of a trans person in America, you compromise the rights of everyone citizen in America,” the congresswoman said after serving up her word salad.

The former bartender also took a shot at Jackson’s GOP opponent.
“Susan Collins, one of the only Republican female senators in a unique position to protect almost every woman in America, decided to declare open season on us instead,” AOC said.
While minuscule in number, the transgender movement is noisy, energetic and well-funded and being the savvy political animal that she is, AOC fully understands the importance of pandering to that particular element of the Democrat base in advance of her yet to be formally announced White House run.
