AOC draws fire for flying first class to ‘Fight Oligarchy’ rally

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is receiving backlash after traveling to a speaking engagement entitled “Fighting Oligarchy” in first class.

A stunned passenger snapped a picture of the progressive lawmaker in a first-class seat on a flight from JFK Airport to Las Vegas, Nevada, for an event with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). The two have been making stops across the country as part of the “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, where they speak out against President Donald Trump and spread leftist talking points.

The person who initially posted the photo to social media, Tracy, has since taken it down, but still got a dig in on the progressive princess in a comment to the New York Post.

“Nothing says, ‘Power to the people’ like ignoring voters looking to say hello and reclining in first class while tweeting about income inequality,” she said, adding that the representative was not responsive to friendly remarks after taking her seat.

“AOC is fighting the system one first-class mimosa at a time,” Tracy snarked.

Given her passionate stance on climate change, the emissions from these flights cannot be overlooked.

“Socialists are hypocrites. I’m surprised she didn’t take a private jet like most of her comrades,” said Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY).
