AOC flips out on GOP congressman when he throws it BACK at screaming witness, and calls her ‘boo’

Members of the so-called “Squad” threw a collective and stunningly hypocritical fit Wednesday after a House Republican confronted an aggressive, yelling female witness and innocently called her “boo.”

During the confrontation, Rep. Clay Higgins sought to obtain some legitimate answers from anti-oil/gas zealot Raya Salter of the so-called Energy Justice Law and Policy Center, but she kept spouting nonsense answers.

Worse, she kept raising her voice and rudely yelling at Higgins.

Notice two things. One, Higgins raised his own voice in response to Salter raising her voice first. And two, at one point Higgins said, “My good lady, I’m trying to give you the floor, boo.” Remember this.

The confrontation started with Higgins saying, “Everything you have — your clothes, your glasses, the car you got here on, your phone, the table you’re sitting at, the chair, the carpet under your feet — everything you’ve got is petrochemical products. What would you do with that? Tell the world.”

Salter is a radical climate change activist who wants to rid the world of oil/gas, and so Higgins was asking her how exactly she’d accomplish this given that the world runs on oil/gas. But she refused to answer the question, preferring instead to turn it back on the congressman.

“If I had that power in the world … actually, I don’t need that power, because what I would do is I would ask you, sir, from Louisiana to search your heart and understand why the EPA knows that toxic petrochemical facilities are some of the most toxic polluting facilities in the world and are killing black people throughout Louisiana,” she said.

As Salter spoke, Higgins tried to cut in to remind her that he was asking her what SHE would do, but this apparently enraged her, because she responded by drastically raising her voice.

That’s when Higgins cut in again and said, “My good lady, I’m trying to give you the floor, boo.”

Yet despite him having given her the floor, she continued spouting non-answer answers, prompting Higgins to eventually conclude, “You’ve got no answer do you, young lady?”

Now fast-forward to what happened after the confrontation: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the lead member of the so-called “Squad,” threw a loud temper tantrum. Why? Because Higgins had dared to raise his voice at Salter.

“I just want you to know that in the four years that I have sat on this committee I have never seen members of Congress, Republican or Democrat disrespect a witness in the way that I have seen them disrespect you today,” the congresswoman whined.

“I do not care what party they are in, I’ve never seen anything like that. And for the gentleman of Louisiana, and the comfort that he felt in yelling at you like that, there’s more than one way to get a point across.”

She loudly and angrily added, “Frankly, men who treat women like that in public, I fear how they treat them in private. We can be better than this. We don’t have to resort to yelling.”

Notice how she herself started yelling during her rant — just like Salter.

Critics were quick to seize on this:

Meanwhile, on Twitter, fellow “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib zeroed in specifically on Higgins’ use of the innocuous term “boo.”

Note that this is the same woman who in 2019 called then-President Donald Trump a “motherf–ker.”

Speaking of insults, Salter responded to Ocasio-Cortez’s rant by thanking her “for the support” and smearing Higgins as a “fossil fuel cron[y].”

This is yet another example of liberal Democrats not abiding by the supposed values they preach. Also, it’s another example of Democrats rewriting history, because anyone who watched Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings is well aware of how genuinely badly they’d treated him …
