AOC reportedly used campaign cash for celeb makeup artist

A new report reveals that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez used campaign funds for a posh makeup artist whose clients include supermodels and rap stars.

Federal Election Commission records reportedly showed that the New York Democrat, who once posted a makeup tutorial on Instagram, paid more than $2,000 to The Only Agency, which provides wardrobe stylists, makeup artists, and hairstylists to a roster of celebrities.

“On Nov. 5, her campaign reported paying New York and Los Angeles-based The Only Agency $670 for ‘campaign event makeup services,’ then another $693.08, and $665 five days later for ‘campaign event hair and makeup services,'” the New York Post reported, citing the federal elections records.

The agency, with locations in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Nashville, charges prices that “start at $600 a pop for hair and $600 for makeup,” the outlet noted.

The company, whose clients include supermodel Bella Hadid and rapper Bad Bunny, was reportedly used by Ocasio-Cortez to get ready for a get-out-the-vote rally last October in support of then-mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. The event in Queens saw AOC joined by her socialist comrade, Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT).

Makeup artist Jocelyn Biga posted the congresswoman’s picture from the rally along with a list of the products used to give her the final look.

“An honor to glam AOC for the ‘New York is Not for Sale’ rally at Forest Hills Stadium — an unforgettable moment watching her light up the stage with conviction, courage, and heart,” the Instagram post read.

“It’s not clear for what other occasion Ocasio-Cortez used the company’s services,” the New York Post added in its report.

“Her other public appearances around that time included the Eugene Debs award banquet for Sanders in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Oct. 25, and Mamdani’s election night victory party Nov. 4 at the Paramount Theater in downtown Brooklyn,” the outlet noted.

“Most candidates typically report spending closer to $100 to 200 for hair and makeup, a review of campaign finance records shows. And a top-rated salon in Forest Hill charges $100 for event hair service, and $150 for professional makeup,” the Post added. “Last quarter was the first time the firebrand politician reported spending cash on professional hair or makeup in her campaign filings.”
