A new poll shows that Sen. Chuck Schumer is “bleeding support” from Democrats and Jews and would be left in the dust by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a hypothetical New York primary.
The poll conducted by Honan Strategy Group for the Jewish Voters Action Network showed Ocasio-Cortez leading the incumbent senator, who is Jewish, by 54%-33 % among likely Democratic voters in the New York 2028 Senate race.
This stunning number was in addition to the gap between the two among Jewish Democrats, where the socialist congresswoman led the five-term senator by 45%-33%, with 17% undecided. Notably, the survey only sampled voters in New York City, with the phone text poll of 1,136 Democrats being conducted from May 15-18.

Maury Litwack, co-founder of Jewish Voters Action Network, called the survey results “a massive wake-up call for Schumer,” according to the New York Post.
“He’s not only bleeding support in the Democratic Party overall but also in the Jewish community,” Litwack added of the 74-year-old Senate minority leader.
“Litwack said the poll results are likely more of a reflection of dissatisfaction with Schumer than support for AOC, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America — a group that supports the controversial boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement against Israel,” the Post noted.
He criticized Schumer for his actions after Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, and in the wake of antisemitic protests around the U.S.
Schumer called out Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the Senate floor, and despite Democrats’ previous control of the Senate and the White House, the senator failed to push through the Antisemitism Awareness Act.
“The leading Jewish elected official in the nation did not step up in a moment of rising antisemitism — and the poll reflects that,” Litwack said.
Though the poll results raised many eyebrows, social media users were hard pressed to believe Ocasio-Cortez could pull off statewide support.
The Dems are doubling down on dumb.

Btw, AOC is no friend of Israel or Jews generally.

Dems prefer a lack of character so either should be fine.

If the Jewish in NY vote for a Democrat after all this, then I just dont know what to say.

The fact either one could get elected with their history of incendiary rhetoric, lies, & incompetence is the real crisis.

The DNC will protect Schumer. He has nothing to worry about.
