AP pumps Dick Cheney’s endorsement of Kamala as a selfless act she should be proud of

Assuming Democrats do have souls, the past week showed how cheaply they’re willing to sell them for as they tripped all over each other to praise former vice president Dick Cheney after he endorsed Kamala Harris.

Cheney, nicknamed “Darth Vader” by the left, joined the ranks of other Republicans who were once vilified but have now been redeemed by their fellowship in the war against former President Donald J. Trump and are seen as kindred spirits, with one example being Mitt Romney.

After the dark lord followed his treacherous daughter Liz Cheney in endorsing Kamala, the current vice president did something that at one time would have been unthinkable for a Democrat, she expressed her gratitude.

Now the formerly esteemed Associated Press, which seems to function as  just another Democrat propaganda organ, is also in on the Dick Cheney redemption effort with a column that portrays him as a selfless patriot willing to cross party lines for the greater good rather than the bloodthirsty warmonger the agency long portrayed him as.

“Dick Cheney is a career Republican still vilified by Democrats for his bullish defense of the Iraq War as vice president. But his partisan loyalties were cast aside in extraordinary fashion last week when he endorsed Democrat Kamala Harris for the White House,” AP wrote, also praising Bush toady and former attorney general Alberto Gonzalez who also slithered into the Harris camp.

“The endorsements crystalized the remarkable evolution of the Republican Party’s establishment wing, which ruled Washington during the Bush years only to be sidelined once Trump wrested control of the party,” according to AP. “These figures, once reviled by Democrats, are so alarmed by the prospect of the former president’s return to power that they are prepared to oppose their own party’s nominee for the White House.”

“It would have long been unfathomable for Cheney to vote Democratic. He served three Republican presidents in roles ranging from White House chief of staff to defense secretary and vice president,” the outlet stated, portraying the former as some sort of patriotic figure while acknowledging his controversial past with the leftist opinion.

One likely translation: Dick Cheney wants to see WW III before he dies and Trump isn’t going to grant his wish but Kamala will and she should wear his support like a badge of honor, which she does.

AP was shredded by X users for its glossing over of Cheney’s notoriety and the hypocrisy of Democrats.

But AP’s hero worship of Cheney pales in comparison to The Hill, which in a recent column gushed that Darth Vader is now more like Luke Skywalker.

The majority of Americans despise and distrust the media for a good reason.
