AP reporter says the honeymoon may already be over after the ‘Kamala Crash’

An Associated Press reporter warned that the stock market crash could be the end of the honeymoon phase for improbable presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

During a panel discussion on Monday’s edition of “Inside Politics” on CNN where the mood seemed decidedly glum after the euphoria of the last two weeks, the talking heads bemoaned that former President Donald J. Trump was using Harris’s own words and memes to mock her now that the stock market is tanking.

Panelist Michelle Price suggested that the intrusion of reality in the form of the “Kamala Crash” could bring the honeymoon phase of “Kamalot” to an end before she’s even been officially coronated at the Democratic Party convention.

After anchor John Berman noted that it would be more difficult for Harris to gaslight voters about the state of the economy “if the numbers aren‘t so good,” Price bemoaned that Trump and his campaign were already using the “brat” meme to ridicule the Democrat nominee.

“They just a little bit ago this morning posted the ‘brat’ meme with ‘the stock market is tanking’ in the font,” the AP reporter whined.

“That everything that has been in this honeymoon period might seem kind of silly compared to when people are looking at their 401Ks or when they’re going to start looking at gas prices, or they’re looking at what it costs at the grocery store, that the hype that is kind of coming back down to earth. We might be entering that phase that the Trump campaign has been waiting for,” Price said.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged by as much as 1,300 points on Monday with the  Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 also dropping with fears of a recession growing at the worst possible time for the Harris campaign.

Trump had a busy day on Truth Social pointing out that Americans have a choice and the wrong one could be catastrophic.

“While Kamala Harris and her campaign talk about being brat and doing weird things with coconuts, they have spent 15 long, excruciating days of ducking media interviews, ignoring press questions, and avoiding debate challenges,” Trump’s campaign communications director said in a statement titled titled “15 DAYS: Kamala Crashes Into a Dumpster Fire of Her Own Doing.”

“The stock market has completely cratered and the Kamala inflation crisis continues to be a boot on the neck of every American trying to survive,” the statement read. “We are on the brink of witnessing World War III erupt while Kamala pussyfoots around with terrorists.”

“15 days of silence. What’s the matter, Kamala, has the cat got your tongue?” Cheung asked.
