‘Are they censoring terrorists or pedophiles?’ Aaron Rodgers demands accountability in epic interview

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is demanding to know why the left is so keen on silencing COVID dissenters and smearing the unvaccinated, yet so quiet about pedophiles, terrorists and criminals.

In an interview with ESPN that was published Friday, the one-time Super Bowl champ and outspoken COVID dissenter aimed fire and fury at all of the left’s sacred cows vis-a-vis COVID, starting with their beloved big government.

“When the president of the United States says ‘this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated,’ it’s because him and his constituents, which, I don’t know how there are any if you watch any of his attempts at public speaking, but I guess he got 81 million votes,” he said, kicking off the veritable roast.

“But when you say stuff like that, and then you have the CDC, which, how do you even trust them, but then they come out and talk about 75% of the COVID deaths have at least four comorbidities. And you still have this fake White House set saying that this is the pandemic of the unvaccinated, that’s not helping the conversation.”

Rodgers then turned his attention to the left’s growing desire to silence any and all dissidents, particularly COVID dissidents.

“When in the course of human history has the side that’s doing the censoring and trying to shut people up and make them show papers and marginalize a part of the community ever been [the correct side]?” he bluntly asked the ESPN reporter who was interviewing him.

“We’re censoring dissenting opinions? What are we trying to do — save people from being able to determine the validity on their own or to listen and to think about things and come to their own conclusion? Freedom of speech is dangerous now if it doesn’t align with the mainstream narrative?” he asked.

This passion for free speech is why, he added, he did something allegedly unconscionable (according to the left) around the start of the month and directed his Instagram followers to a Joe Rogan interview featuring Dr. Robert Malone, a prominent COVID dissident loathed by the left.

“That’s, I think first and foremost, what I wanted people to understand, and what people should understand is that there’s censorship in this country going on right now,” he explained.

And, he added, it’s going in one direction only.

“Are they censoring terrorists or pedophiles? Criminals who have Twitter profiles? No, they’re censoring people, and they’re shadow-banning people who have dissenting opinions about vaccines,” he said.

They’re not even censoring the open promotion of pedophilia:

Returning back to the topic at hand, COVID, Rodgers added, “Why is that? Is that because Pfizer cleared $33 billion last year and Big Pharma has more lobbyists in Washington than senators and representatives combined? Why is the reason?”

Speaking of lobbyists, The Hill reported on Thursday that “[m]ost of the [country’s] top lobbying firms raked in record revenue last year as K Street worked overtime to influence President Biden’s ambitious agenda.”

Note that the president’s agenda has focused heavily on forcing vaccine mandates down the American people’s throats.

Continuing his remarks, Rodgers stressed the need for Americans to be more willing to hear both sides of every argument.

“Either way, if you want to be an open-minded person, you should hear both sides, which is why I listen to people like Dr. Robert Malone, Dr. Peter McCullough. I have people on the other side as well,” he said.

“I read stuff on the vaccine-hesitancy side, and I read stuff on the vaccines-are-the-greatest-thing-in-the-world side. When you censor and make pariahs out of anybody who questions what you believe in or what the mainstream narrative is, that doesn’t make any sense,” he said.

The left opposes this mindset because, in their eyes, it all boils down to the left being exclusively righteous and the right being exclusively evil. It’s a view that’s particularly prominent among “journalists,” whom many conservatives would argue are the Democrats’ foot soldiers.

“We isolate ourselves into these echo chambers where we’re only going to listen to things or read things or watch things that confirm our initial thoughts about things. That’s no way to grow; that just keeps us divided even more,” Rodgers added in his interview with ESPN.

The echo chamber is particularly strong on the left, especially in regard to COVID. Even some more traditionally liberal members of the left have, much to their credit, taken note of this.

Liberal comedian Bill Maher in particular is fond of drawing attention to a stunning poll conducted last year that found that most Democrats were completely misinformed about COVID.

“The question was, ‘What do you think the chances are that you would have to go to the hospital if you got COVID?’ And Democrats thought that was, way higher than Republicans. The answer is between 1 percent and 5 percent,” he said last September.

“Seventy percent of Democrats thought it was way, way, way higher than it really was. Liberal media has to take a little responsibility for that. For scaring the s— out of people.”
