Armed man arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s home, suspect had sinister plan

Law enforcement confirmed on Wednesday that they made an overnight arrest of an armed man near Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home.

According to officials, the unidentified suspect was confronted at 1:50 a.m. and “arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s residence. The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh.” It was also confirmed that the man was from out of state, and arrived at the area by taxi instead of driving his own vehicle. He was reportedly carrying a handgun, a knife and pepper spray.

“The man, described as being from California and in his mid-20s, was taken into custody by police after telling officers he wanted to kill the justice, according to people familiar with the investigation,” The Washington Post reported. “He apparently did not make it onto Kavanaugh’s property in Montgomery County but was stopped on a nearby street and was found to be carrying at least one weapon and burglary tools, these people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.”

The suspect was reportedly angry about the leaked majority opinion draft by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito signaling that the court is preparing to overturn Roe. v. Wade.

While details on the incident are limited, social media had a lot to say about the shocking news:
