Former New York Rangers star and network analyst Ron Duguay blamed an ugly recent loss on the “bad mojo” of the organization hosting a “Pride Night” celebration, which he seems to believe was a distraction that adversely impacted the team’s on-ice performance.
On Monday, the Blueshirts were clubbed 4-1 by the visiting Los Angeles Kings, a lethargic showing for the home team despite the rainbow-colored tribute to the very special demographic, which was sponsored by Delta Airlines, with the first 10,000 fans getting a special “Pride” pouch.

Duguay, who played more than 800 games in the NHL during his career, which spanned the 1970s and 1980s – the majority with the Rangers – took to social media after the embarrassing rout to share his take, delivering a crushing body check to the forced imposition of deviant sexuality on the general public.
“I didn’t want to say it before the game but I saw this coming tonight down 4-1 after the singing national anthem to (rainbow) flag to a small group. Bad idea bad mojo,” he wrote. “I don’t blame all of the Rangers organization. Its only a select few college brain washed up, woked kids pushing their agenda on others in the organization.”
“I believe at least 70% of the fans tonight wanted no part of it at all at a Rangers game. Just wanted a family night out. Husband wife & kids. That’s what @NYRangers need to celebrate. Rangers leadership needs to show some courage & stop,” Duguay added.
The post has since been deleted.
In an earlier post, he blasted the promotion of transgenderism, which until recent years was widely viewed as a mental illness and drew attention to the spate of mass shootings carried out by violent loons confused about their sexuality, suggesting that a trans shooter could even show up at Madison Square Garden.
@NYRangers @NYR_PR @Delta supporting & in supporting encouraging Transgender lifestyle

“@NYRangers @NYR_PR @Delta supporting & in supporting encouraging Transgender lifestyle. Have you not been reading & watching the news ??? What if a situation was to occur at the @TheGarden? What then?” Duguay wrote on Sunday.
“How can a professional, none political entity like a sports team sanction this stuff on families especially with kids ??? Most people don’t want to celebrate a group’s sexual life style at a game,” he added. “Can you just keep it to a nice family night out celebrating & enjoying their sports team ?”
The 68-year-old also worked as an analyst for the MSG Network’s coverage of his former team from 2007 to 2018. He is also dating former Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, a self-proclaimed “hockey mom” and big fan of the game.
Duguay recently revealed that he is suffering from stage four colon cancer.
