Democrats just aren’t that great at pretending that they are proud to be Americans.
Never is that more obvious than on July 4th, when the rest of the country is celebrating the independence of the United States. Politicians flock to social media to express their sentiments, exposing how they truly feel about the country that has given them so much.
That being said, let’s check in with former President Barack Obama:
Independence Day is a reminder that America is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ America is owned by no one. It belongs to all citizens. And at this moment in…

“Independence Day is a reminder that America is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ America is owned by no one. It belongs to all citizens. And at this moment in history—when core democratic principles seem to be continuously under attack, when too many people around the world have become cynical and disengaged—now is precisely the time to ask ourselves tough questions about how we can build our democracies and make them work in meaningful and practical ways for ordinary people,” he wrote.
Democrats only seem to be proud of their country when their people are in charge, and even then, it’s a coin flip.
As BizPac Review previously noted, ex-Vice President Kamala Harris made a similar post, which was quickly excoriated for its doom-and-gloom vibe.
This Fourth of July, I am taking a moment to reflect. Things are hard right now. They are probably going to get worse before they get better.
But I love our country — and when you love something, you fight for it. Together, we will continue to fight for the ideals of our nation. pic.twitter.com/pYxJVw0fiD

The only Democrat who is still willing to publicly admit being proud of his country is Sen. John Fetterman, who excoriated his own party for their cynicism.

The single most powerful word that describes you is “Gasbag.” You are an empty “Gasbag” of hot air whose campaign slogan should have been “Yes I can.” You are a “Gasbag” who has become a pathetic joke & you can fuck off. https://t.co/fM7vjqn2Z1
