Unhinged left-wing entertainer Bette Midler has a bad habit of putting into action the old adage that it’s better to be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.
Perhaps having overdosed on a little too much MSNBC, Midler took to X to ask, “Can you imagine what would have happened if Hillary Clinton had claimed the election was stolen?”

Keep in mind that Clinton concocted the whole Russian collusion narrative that was used to go after President Donald Trump following the 2016 election. The failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee has also been very vocal about how the election was stolen as a result of Russian interference, arguing that Trump was not “an illegitimate president.”
“You can run the best campaign, you can even become the nominee, and you can have the election stolen from you,” she said as late as 2020.
Midler may have been motivated by Sen. Marco Rubio’s appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Rubio was asked by NBC propagandist Kristin Welker whether he would accept the 2024 election results no matter who wins, and he countered, “I think you’re asking the wrong person. The Democrats are the ones that have opposed every Republican victory since 2000. Every single one.”
The Florida Republican proceeded to accurately point out that Hillary Clinton said the 2016 election was “stolen” from her as Welker repeated furiously that Clinton did concede.
“Hillary Clinton said the election was stolen from her and that Trump was illegitimate,” Rubio reminded her.
Either way, Midler’s tweet was so painstakingly stupid that the reaction online was sheer disbelief, mixed in with plenty of profanity.
