Liberal actress and reliable tweeter of bad takes Bette Midler apparently doesn’t like being called out for her climate hypocrisy. Like, at ALL.
On Monday, Midler tweeted out a graphic saying “If God wanted us to have free, unlimited clean energy, he would have given us a giant fusion reactor in the sky” over a painting of a sun. The actress has been aboard the climate change train for some time now, and this is just the most recent in a long line of snide swipes taken at conservatives.
However, she absolutely flipped out over one comment that outlined her own sins in a snarky and clearly effective way.
Bette is so worried about this that she abandoned her house, car, stopped flying and gave up on all modern conveniences and now lives in a solar powered hut in the forest. What a great example she set for the rest of us. Three cheers for Bette!

Midler’s response was broken up into two hysterical, hilarious tweets that just have to be seen to be believed.
“If you knew what I have done to mitigate the criminal environmental craziness in this country, you would kiss my ass,” the actress roared. “I have done my part, and I have done YOUR part. I have done geothermal, solar, hybrid, electric cars, composting, recycling, I bathe once a month! F**k you!”
