Biden appears to nod out while talking during sit-down with Israeli president

President Joe Biden served up more material for his critics who insist that the elderly career politician isn’t physically or mentally fit for the rigors of another four-year term when he badly struggled to get through a White House sit-down with Israeli President Isaac Herzog that was caught on video for all the world to see.

On Tuesday, Biden, who would be 86 years old at the end of a second stint in the Oval Office, mumbled his way through his welcoming of Herzog as he was barely able to read from the notecards in his lap, another senior moment for the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet that has been brought low during his dismal tenure at the helm.

“This is a friendship, I believe, that is just simply unbreakable — unbreakable,” Biden said during the short public remarks, during which he frequently stared into his lap and slurred his words as if inebriated while trying to pronounce the names of the cities where talks recently took place between Israelis and the Palestinians in meetings brokered by the U.S. and Middle East governments.

“As I affirmed with Prime Minister Netanyahu yesterday, America’s commitment to Israel is firm and it is iron-clad and we’re committed as well to assure that Iran never acquires a nuclear weapon,” Biden said, not taking questions from reporters during the event.

Twitter weighed in on the latest in Biden’s growing collection of embarrassing performances in meetings with world leaders.

What Biden didn’t discuss with President Herzog – at least publicly – is the ongoing problem with antisemitism and hating on Israel in his Democratic Party with the most recent display being when Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) who is the head of the influential Congressional Progressive Caucus called Israel a “racist state” during remarks at the Netroots Nations conference in Chicago over the weekend.

Jayapal later offered up a half-hearted apology but nine of her fellow left-wing firebrands led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) thumbed their noses at the Jewish state by refusing to vote for a House resolution affirming support for Israel after their colleague’s offensive remarks, just the latest since Democrats welcomed anti-Semites into the party’s big tent.

Herzog is set to address a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, a speech that will likely be boycotted by the socialist diva and her Jew-bashing cohorts.
