Biden blasts ‘the real problem’ at Dem dinner: ‘MAGA Republicans’ are ’30 percent of the Republican party’

President Joe Biden doubled down on his usual dose of divisive, hateful, and deceptive rhetoric during a Democrat National Committee reception this Friday in Washington, D.C.

For starters, he again trotted out attack lines about so-called “MAGA Republicans.”

“The real problem is those MAGA Republicans. They’re 30 percent of the Republican Party, but there’s a — there’s — this is not your father’s Republican Party. But in a bizarre way, all we got to do is point out, in many cases, and compare us to what these guys want to do,” he said, according to a White House transcript.

“Look what they just introduced. Look what they just passed in the House. We’d lose 100,000 teacher- — I — I’m not going to go on it ri- — on right now, because we got to get some dinner,” he added.

What the barely coherent president was talking about was the GOP’s debt-ceiling bill. As previously reported, it simply raises the debt ceiling by $1.5 trillion in exchange for a cap on 2024 spending, limiting it to 2022 spending levels, and in exchange for limiting growth in spending to 1 percent annually over the next decade.

“The bill also includes a number of measures Republicans say will cut costs, including expanding work requirements for food stamps and Medicaid, repealing IRS funding Democrats approved last year, blocking the Biden administration’s planned student loan forgiveness, and clawing back unused funding meant to address the COVID-19 pandemic,” according to Military.com.

“House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., has estimated the bill could save $4.5 trillion over the next decade, though Congress’ independent budget scorekeeper has not released its own estimate yet,” the site reported earlier this week.

Despite the bill offering only modest spending cuts, it’s been portrayed by Democrats and their media allies as the harbinger of the apocalypse.

Case in point:

It’s all lies, of course.

Speaking of lies, the president continued his DNC reception speech by patting himself on the back for what he appears to believe is a great economy.

“Folks, we’ve already accomplished a lot after being told we wouldn’t be able to get anything done — remember? — in 2020. It was going to be a — it was going to be just a freeze on everything,” he said at one point.

“But with the help of all of you here and many of my colleagues in the House and Senate, we’ve generated 12 million brand-new jobs in two years, more than any President has created in any single four-year term,” Biden added.

His administration did NOT generate 12 million brand-new jobs. In fact, even PolitiFact, a left-wing “fact-checking” organization, has previously called the president out on this sort of lie.

After the president said last year that the American Rescue Plan “helped create nearly 10 million new jobs,” PolitiFact noted that this was false.

“Analysts with the Congressional Budget Office projected that, even without the law, about 8 million jobs would be added to the economy through the end of 2022,” PolitiFact reported.

“With five months still to go until year’s end, the U.S. is running at about 1.6 million new jobs above that projection, with perhaps more to come. Whether all 1.6 million of those excess jobs created resulted from the American Rescue Plan is open to debate, but even if they all did, it’s well short of 10 million,” it added.

The president continued his speech by further patting himself on the back.

“Unemployment is at 3.5 percent, a 50-year low. You know how much this matters. We passed the American Rescue Plan, the most aggressive economic recovery plan since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. We passed the most substantial investment in our nation’s infrastructure since Eisenhower: the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law,” he said.

“We passed the CHIPS and Science Act, the most significant investment in manufacturing and research developed in American history. It led to $400 billion in private investment in manufacturing and clean energy, creating tens of thousands of jobs before it’s finished, all across America,” he added.

Actually, unemployment was at exactly 3.5 percent in January 2020, only months out from the beginning of the COVID pandemic, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Number two, the American Rescue Plan skyrocketed inflation, while the so-called infrastructure law had very little to do with actual infrastructure.

After touting his supposed accomplishments, the president then bemoaned that Republicans want to take Americans back to, you know, when inflation wasn’t through the roof and the country wasn’t spiraling out of control.

“MAGA Republicans are trying to take us backwards. But together, we’re not going to let them do it. Not an inch back. Instead, our agenda is going to continue to bring us forward and build on the progress we made — and we made. And we must finish this job,” he said.

What job? The job of destroying America, say conservatives …
