Biden doubles-down on big lie about banned books in another racially charged speech

President Joe Biden doubled down on the big lie about books being banned and black history being erased in Florida during a racially charged speech from the White House on Tuesday.

The octogenarian Democrat may be a deeply unpopular leader with policies that have wrecked America, but the canny old career politician is still able to conjure up the race card with the best of them. It is a potent talisman that he will play all the way until next November in his quest to remain in power, and he did so during his remarks at a ceremony to mark the proclamation of a monument to slain black teenager Emmett Till, one of the left’s greatest martyr figures.

Joined at the gathering in the Indian Treaty Room by Vice President Kamala Harris who warmed up for her boss by once again brazenly lying about Florida’s new black history standards, Biden assailed the Sunshine State and Governor Ron DeSantis in a speech drenched with racial overtones, as could be expected considering the occasion.

“Today, there are those in our nation who would prefer to erase or even rewrite the ugly parts of our past; those who attempt to teach that enslaved people benefitted from slavery; those who insult us in an attempt to gaslight us, who try to divide our nation with unnecessary debates,” Harris said before Biden took over, regurgitating the falsehood about banned books.

What Biden never mentions, nor do the intrepid “fact checkers” in the media bother to point out, is that the “banned” books are ideological, racialist material that espouses anti-white, anti-American critical race theory, themes used to indoctrinate and not educate. There is also the matter of graphic homosexual pornography that’s inappropriate in classrooms and libraries where it has been made accessible to young children and books that aren’t “banned” on Amazon.com where they are readily available for purchase – but Biden hasn’t lasted for five decades in D.C. due to his honesty.

Twitter users reacted to Biden’s truckload of malarkey.

“At a time when there are those who seek to ban books, bury history, we’re making it clear — crystal, crystal clear,” Biden said, “while darkness and denialism can hide much, they erase nothing. They can hide, but they erase nothing.”

“We can’t just choose to learn what we want to know.  We have to learn what we should know. We should know about our country. We should know everything: the good, the bad, the truth of who we are as a nation. That’s what great nations do, and we are a great nation. That’s what they do,” the president said.

“Hate never goes away. It just hides. It hides under the rocks. And given a little bit of oxygen by bad people, it comes roaring out again,” he added.
