Biden grabs reporter, tells him to get educated on abortion; has no idea what he’s talking about

President Joe Biden was asked Thursday afternoon if he supported any restrictions on abortion and responded by citing Roe v. Wade, telling the reporter to “get educated” but it seems the president may need to return to school on the issue because he doesn’t appear to know what he’s talking about.

“Mr. President, should there be any restrictions on abortion at all?” EWTN’s White House correspondent Owen Jensen asked, immediately before Biden boarded Marine One.

“Yes. There should be,” Biden replied, prompting the obvious follow-up from the reporter, “What should they be?”

“It’s Roe v. Wade. Read it, man. You’ll get educated,” the president said, grabbing Jensen by the hands and shaking him before walking off.

Here’s another angle of the exchange:

“The president has made it clear, for example, that he would codify Roe v. Wade and sign the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), the most radical piece of abortion legislation yet,” the Catholic News Agency reported, noting that WHPA “would forbid any kind of abortion restrictions before and after fetal viability.”

And while some in the media opted to run interference for the president by claiming that “conservatives have adopted the false talking point that Democrats don’t believe in any limits at all because they won’t name a specific time limit,” CNA pointed out that outside of Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., Democrats voted unanimously for the WHPA in the Senate earlier this year.

Alexandra DeSanctis, a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, told the news agency that Biden was being “misleading” in claiming that Roe allowed for restrictions on abortions.

“Roe v. Wade and its companion case, Doe v. Bolton, invented an essentially unlimited constitutional right to abortion, invalidating all state laws in place protecting unborn children,” DeSanctis said in a statement to CNA.

President Biden had another “moment” on Thursday while departing the White House when he snapped at a reporter who asked about Democrats not wanting to campaign with him, dismissively referring to the reporter as a “kid.”

“John Fetterman’s gonna appear with you today in Pennsylvania, but there haven’t been that many candidates campaigning with you. What are there —”

“That’s not true!” Biden interrupted. “There’ve been 15. Count kid, count!”

Biden was on his way to Pennsylvania to campaign with Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman, who may be in real trouble as his Republican opponent Dr. Mehmet Oz continues to close the gap.

He is set to travel to Florida one week before Election Day to campaign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist, who is trailing badly to popular Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, and will also visit Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan later this month.

Back to the issue of abortion, here’s a quick sampling of responses from Twitter:
