President Joe Biden’s “historic” visit to The View generated a few viral moments, but it was one small detail that caught some people’s attention.
Before he could even say anything, Biden’s outfit made quite a statement as X users pointed out that he was wearing a pin featuring the flags of both the United States and Ukraine, side-by-side.

This curious choice left people with questions, like why wasn’t he also wearing an Israel pin to represent the distress of our ally in the Middle East?

Why is it that the Democrats never show any support for Israel? pic.twitter.com/gr8Dak2H2K

It is sickening. Meanwhile Biden goes on the sitcom The View wearing a joined US/Ukraine flag pin. Where is his Israel/US pin? As an American I’m sickened by the Biden Harris administration’s unfair hate for some of our allies and even more disgusting by their hate and disregard… pic.twitter.com/4gHlTtZXFt

Others believe the president of the United States should only be wearing one pin:
Why is the President of the United States is wearing another country’s flag? Why not the flag of Argentina or Poland? On duty, POTUS should ONLY represent the regardless of his political views.

This is also not the first time that Biden has donned the pin to show his support for Ukraine. In February 2024, he noted that he was wearing the flag pin “because they’re in dire straits right now, defending themselves against the Russian onslaught.”

In the same month, he was seen again wearing the pin on Late Night with Seth Meyers:
No matter how many more BILLIONS the U.S. gives to Ukraine, you will never catch Zelenskyy wearing an American flag pin.

Some X users were not happy with Biden’s choice to wear the detail on The View:
He’s an embarrassment !

They want those Ukrainian American votes. Why do you think Zelensky was brought in to tour Pennsylvania ammo factory.

Of course he is. Maybe he should move there ASAP.

Well he’s made 10s of millions off the skim, so………..

That is his right but as our president he should have an American flag above the Ukraine flag.

Joe just wants one final bite of the Ukraine apple.

But this wasn’t the only thing people were upset about. There was also a moment where co-host Whoopi Goldberg compared former President Donald Trump to a bug, at which point Biden acted like he was squishing a bug on the table. Many pointed out that the man was recently the target of not one, but two attempted assassinations, and such gestures are wholly inappropriate.
