President Joe Biden’s literal salute to a “true hero” at an AIDS event was met with snark, contempt, and reminders that the American people expected a “criminal investigation.”
Sunday at the White House, Hunter Biden’s pardon announcement may have stolen the show, but he wasn’t alone in receiving special treatment in spite of his reputation. Years after the COVID response ruined the lives of countless Americans and decades after the questionable handling of the AIDS epidemic, the president offered his “special thanks” to Dr. Anthony Fauci.
As survivors, families, and advocates gathered on the South Lawn to mark World AIDS Day, the president offered remarks tooting his administration’s own horn at home and abroad on the issue. Early in the short statement, he sought out the face of the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) for praise.
“A special thanks to one of the great public health officials. A true hero who has led this fight against HIV/AIDS: Dr. Anthony Fauci,” said Biden as he briefly shuffled away from the podium to deliver a salute to the immunologist. “And you’re a good man. God love you. As my mother would say, God love you, Anthony.”

The constant favor that the resident-in-chief had showered upon the lead proponent of “The Science™” was not mutually shared by those whose lives were directly impacted by the career bureaucrat’s decision-making at NIAID.
Along with the devastating impact on the economy from lockdowns that included social and developmental setbacks for youths forced into virtual learning, masking, and distancing, opinions on Fauci’s earlier decisions on AIDS conveyed how Biden’s salute was akin to a kick in the teeth.
“Biden said this at an AIDS event. If you’ve done even a little digging into Fauci’s role in the AIDS crisis then you know he’s absolutely hated by the people who lost loved ones due to his mismanagement of the crisis,” posted conservative commentator Robby Starbuck as others slammed the doctor as a “murderer” on X regarding the research efforts for experimental treatments. “He had protestors outside his offices during the crisis too.”
Agree! Remember when he said that kids can get AIDS by being in close proximity to someone.

I’m old enough to remember when Democrats protested Fauci and used to refer to him as a mass murderer for his Bactrim scandal relating to to his deliberate suppression of cheap, effective Aids treatments while pushing newly developed drugs….kinds like he did during Rona

True hero?

Calling Fauci a true hero shows how out of touch this administration is!

Likewise, Fauci’s statements regarding COVID remained at the fore of many Americans’ minds, particularly where subjects like gain-of-function and the origin were concerned.
Recently, former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Robert Redfield shared his opinion that the virus had been “intentionally engineered as a part of a biodefense program,” asserting that U.S. taxpayer dollars had been funneled toward research.

Fauci routinely denied gain-of-function funding and often voiced favor for a natural origin theory of COVID-19 despite links between the National Institute of Health’s Rocky Mountain Laboratories, where research was published on “SARS-like WIV1-coronavirus,” and the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
As Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton put it in response to Biden’s salute, “Fauci should be under criminal investigation.”

Fauci needs to be in prison, he’s an evil real life mad scientist.

Should have been indicted.

Biden and Fauci should be under several criminal investigations. I have a feeling that they will be. But they won’t be standing in front of judges, they will be standing in front of generals.
