President Joe Biden isn’t taking the CDC guidelines on masking-up after exposure to COVID seriously, repeatedly flouting instructions that he should wear a facemask indoors and even joking about it with reporters.
Earlier this week, the White House said that the doddering Democrat would be masking up while inside after first lady Jill Biden tested positive for the virus. But Biden has failed to lead by example at a time when COVID hysteria is on the uptick with leftists clamoring for a return to the days of lockdowns and mask mandates.
On Wednesday, Biden celebrated an agreement between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and the Pacific Maritime Association and showed up bare-faced to deliver his remarks and then asked media members to not “tell” on him during the presser in the State Dining Room.

“Hello, everybody,” Biden said. “Let me explain to the press: I’ve been tested again today. I’m clear across the board, but they keep telling me, because this has to be 10 days or something, I got to keep wearing it. But don’t tell them I didn’t have it on when I walked in.”
Biden’s jocularity didn’t sit well with X users who shredded the mask theatre which in the words of one conservative columnist has “reached ultra-clown levels.”

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) didn’t find it amusing that Biden is joking about masking when children at a Maryland elementary school have been ordered to submit to wearing the stifling face coverings.
“If only children in Montgomery County public schools also had the freedom to not wear a mask,” the Texas Republican wrote.

Believe it or not, the masks are coming back despite a lack of evidence that they actually work. And with mandates already being reimposed and Dr. Anthony Fauci urging compliance, some GOP lawmakers are urging Americans to resist the second round of medical tyranny.

In a column for Fox News, Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) wrote “Fauci and his cabal crave power over everything else. But if I have anything to say about it, they won’t ever have the authority to impose mask mandates or trample our freedoms again,” as he outlined legislation that he has introduced to block the government from bringing back forced masking.
“We all know how this goes. It starts with mask mandates, then social distancing, and then forced lockdowns to ‘slow the spread.’ None of it works, but it costs us dearly. It robbed us of our basic freedoms and shattered our national unity amid a crisis. We cannot let it happen again,” he wrote.
“Democrats insist they have no plans to mandate masking again. So, let’s hold them to their words and end the specter of COVID-19 tyranny for good. Today, I will go to the Senate floor to request unanimous consent on my ‘Freedom to Breathe Act.’ That means if no one objects, the bill passes automatically. But if Senate Democrats block my legislation, they must be planning to reinstate mask mandates once again,’ the Ohio Republican explained.
“The bill is very simple. It prohibits government from forcing you to wear a mask on planes, on public transit, or in public schools for the next 15 months. It also blocks taxpayer dollars from being used to enforce a mask mandate, Vance said.
“Those who oppose the bill may claim to ‘follow the science,’ but they’d be wrong. With years of experience and experimental study, the effects of masking are clear,” he stated. “There is no robust high-quality evidence that masking slows the spread of respiratory infections like COVID-19. But it can lead to unhealthy levels of CO2 inhalation, jeopardize early childhood development, and exacerbate speech and language disorders. In most cases, a mask is nothing more than a false sense of protection.”
