Biden tries to use Russian TV to pressure GOP into more Ukraine funding

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy came to America on Tuesday with hat in hand, meeting with President Biden and members of Congress in the hopes of keeping the money spigot open as Americans begin to grow weary of funding Ukraine’s war with Russia.

Adding to Zelenskyy’s problems is that Republican lawmakers are showing hints of a spine in demanding that Biden address the porous southern border with Mexico, where an astonishing 8 million illegal immigrants have invaded the country under Biden’s first three years in office, before approving more money to defend the borders of a foreign nation.

With Democrats morphing into war hawks right before our very eyes, they are falling back on the same boogeyman they relied on to attack a sitting president in Donald Trump — Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Biden said at a joint news conference with Zelenskyy that we are standing at “a real inflection point in history” — which is not a reference to his party artificially altering voter demographics in America via our open border — before claiming Republicans are about to “give Putin the greatest Christmas gift they could possibly give him” if they don’t get on board.

(For the record, the U.S. has directed more than $75 billion in assistance to Ukraine, which includes humanitarian, financial, and military support, according to the Kiel Institute.)

“Putin is banking on the United States failing to deliver for Ukraine. We must, we must, we must prove him wrong,” Biden said.

“It’s stunning that we’ve gotten to this point,” he added. “You know, we need to fully appreciate — fully appreciate — how this is being viewed around the world and being used by Russia.”

Biden went so far as to exploit the propaganda of a Kremlin-backed talking head on Russia TV to put pressure on Republicans.

“Russian loyalists in Moscow celebrated when Republicans voted to block Ukraine’s aid last week. The host of a Kremlin-run show literally said, and I quote, ‘Well done, Republicans. That’s good for us,’ end quote.”

“Let me say that again: the host of a Kremlin-run show said ‘Well done, Republicans. That’s good for us.’ That’s a Russian speaking. If you’re being celebrated by Russian propagandists, it might be time to rethink what you’re doing. History will judge harshly those who turn their back on freedom’s cause,” the 81-year-old president said.

Talk about bad timing, as Biden and his fellow Democrats try to push on without addressing the broken southern border a video showing what a mockery immigration has become was making the rounds on social media:
