Biden tries to walk back ‘time to put a bullseye on Trump’ remark: ‘I didn’t say crosshairs’

Now that years of their incendiary rhetoric bore fruit in an assassination attempt on Republican nominee Donald J. Trump, Democrats are in full gaslighting mode.

With the near-miss in Pennsylvania having awakened Americans to the vile nature of the ruling party and its demagogic leader, Democrat politicians and the purveyors of hate in the media are trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube, with one of them being Joe Biden.

Following his cynical and insincere appeal to civility after the shooting, the instigator-in-chief told NBC’s Lester Holt that it may have not been the best choice of words when he told donors that it was time to put a “bullseye” on Trump.

“The truth of the matter was — what I guess I was talking about at the time was — there’s very little focus on Trump’s agenda,” the geriatric Democrat said in a clip from his sit-down with Holt, his follow-up to an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that received mixed reviews.

“Was it a mistake to use the word? I didn’t mean, I didn’t say crosshairs, I meant bullseyes,” Biden said, trying to weasel out of his inflammatory words. He has also repeatedly suggested that Trump is the second coming of Hitler.

“I meant focus on him, focus on what he’s doing, focus on his policies, focus on the number of lies he told in the debate,” the 81-year-old leader added, not being challenged on his malarkey of an explanation by the lapdog NBC News anchor.

On the call, Biden told the donors, “It’s time to put Trump in the bullseye,” making him a liar – again.

“I mean, there’s a whole range of things that, look, I’m not the guy that said I want to be a dictator on day one. I’m not the guy that refused to accept the outcome of the election,” Biden added. “I’m not the guy who said that one accepts the outcome of this election automatically. You can’t only love your country when you win. And so the focus was on what he’s saying and I mean the idea. But have you.”

Earlier on Monday, Biden went into the fake “uniter” mode that allowed him to successfully bamboozle swing voters into falsely believing that he was a moderate, a part of the reboot currently underway for a man who was only a few days ago on the edge of being toppled by his own party.

“While we may disagree, we are not enemies. We are neighbors, friends, co-workers, citizens, and – most importantly – we are fellow Americans. We must stand together,” Biden said on X.

But few were swallowing it.

Biden’s the last one who has any credibility calling for lowering the temperature. He and his fellow Democrats have been pouring gasoline on the fire for the last four years and shame on Holt for not calling him out in the harshest terms.
