Investigative journalist Catherine Herridge dropped a bombshell in the Biden ghostwriter tapes saga.
On Tuesday evening, Herridge took to X with the claim that the ghostwriter “erased the Biden tapes” after learning of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation. Despite this being potential evidence of obstruction, Hur declined to pursue the charge.

“BIDEN GHOSTWRITER: ERASED AUDIO TAPES,” she wrote. “A key data point is being lost in the conversation. According to Special Counsel Hur, the ghostwriter erased the Biden tapes after he learned of Hur’s investigation.”
“Hur considered charging the ghostwriter with obstruction but declined, in part because the ghostwriter admitted to his actions, kept the Biden transcripts, and the FBI recovered the recordings from his computer,” she added. “NOTE: The Biden audio tapes were recorded SEVEN YEARS BEFORE Hur concluded Biden could not be prosecuted for mishandling classified information because of his age, and failed memory.”
“Mr. Biden’s ghostwriter and destruction of evidence,” the highlighted document reads. “After learning of the special counsel’s appointment in this matter, Mr Biden’s ghostwriter deleted audio recordings he had created of his discussions with Mr. Biden during the writing of Mr. Biden’s 2017 memoir. The recordings had significant evidentiary value.”
“After telling the Special Counsel’s Office what he had done, the ghostwriter turned over his computer and external hard drive and consented to their search. Based on the FBI’s analysis, it appears the FBI recovered all deleted audio files relating to the memoir, though portions of a few of the files appear to be missing, which is possible when forensic tools are used to recover deleted files,” the document continues.
“We considered whether to charge the ghostwriter with obstruction of justice, but we believe the evidence would be insufficient to obtain a conviction and therefore declined to prosecute him,” the report notes. “While the ghostwriter admitted that he deleted the recordings after he learned of the special counsel’s investigation, the evidence falls short of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that he intended to impede the investigation, which is the intent required by law. In his interviews, the ghostwriter offered plausible, innocent reasons for why he deleted the recordings. He also preserved his transcripts that contain som of the most incriminating information against Mr. Biden – including his statement about finding ‘all the classified stuff downstairs’ in 2017 – which is inconsistent with an intent to impede an investigation by destroying evidence.”
X users reacted:
Yet, the government allowed him to stay in office and run for another term. Who was really running the WH?Obama who spoke of being a shadow president? Dr. Jill who was there for the glamor? The chief of staff? Or was this the continuation of the Coup. THE PEOPLE need answers!!

Hur’s reasons for declining to charge the ghostwriter, are usually reasons IN FAVOR OF charging a subject, unless the prosecutor is biased in the subject’s favor.

I have to conclude that Biden’s ghostwriter knew there would be incriminating or highly embarrassing things on the tape.
Who got the classified docs out of storage?
Did he believe he had a duty to protect Joe?
If not, then it seems likely it was done for his
own protection🤔😎— Lawyerforlaws (@lawyer4laws) July 28, 2026
Let’s remember in this context President Biden’s DOJ/ FBI raided this President’s home in search of classified information.

It’s unfathomable to think that 7 yrs before Hur concluded Biden mentally incompetent, that he was rambling and incoherent with his ghostwriter. How did Biden get a nomination, go thru a political campaign and win a POTUS election with 81M votes? Was Houdini his campaign manager?
