Rumors are circulating about President Joe Biden’s odd phone call Monday into his former campaign headquarters in Delaware.
Not only was his voice slurred and raspy, but after he spoke, Vice President Kamala Harris took the microphone and said something even odder.
“Joe, I know you’re still on the rec … on the call,” she said.

What had she originally meant to say? Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene believes she’d meant to say “recording,” the insinuation being that the president’s voice had been a creation of artificial intelligence.
Before the president supposedly took the microphone, he encouraged his former staffers to unite behind Vice President Harris, who at the moment is the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee.
“I know yesterday’s news was surprising and it was hard for you to hear, but it was the right thing to do,” he said, referring to the statement he’d posted on social media a day earlier announcing the end of his candidacy.
“I know it’s hard because you’ve poured your heart and soul into me to help us win this thing, help me get this nomination, help me win the nomination, and then go on to win the presidency,” he added.
The phone call marked the first time anyone had heard his voice since he was diagnosed with COVID last week and whisked away into isolation at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware home.
The fact that nobody has seen him in a week, coupled with Harris’ odd “recording” mishap, has some convinced that the phone call Monday was fake — and that the VP had been speaking with an artificially generated version of the president:

But the rumors go even deeper. Some genuinely believe that the president is either in hospice care or outright dead.
The theory emerged Tuesday courtesy of tweets by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
“Got a weird lead on a story that people should look into,” the tweets begin. “I got a call from a source close to Las Vegas Metro. The official story was that Joe Biden’s trip was cut short last week due to COVID. However, according to this source, US Secret Service informed LV Metro that there was an emergency situation involving Joe Biden and to close necessary streets so that POTUS could be transported immediately to University Medical, which they began to do in earnest.”
“Then, mysteriously, there was a stand down order and the USSS informed local Vegas PD that they were going to ‘medivac’ POTUS to Johns Hopkins, which they presumed meant fly him back east ASAP. Apparently the rumor mill in the police department was that Joe Biden was dying or possibly already dead,” the tweets continued.

The White House for its part continues to claim Biden is fine, save for the COVID diagnosis that they say has improved within the past week.
“‘His symptoms have almost resolved completely,” physician to the president Dr. Kevin O’Connor said Monday in a statement. “His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and temperature remain absolutely normal. His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear.”
