As more details emerged about President Joe Biden’s suspected financial connections to China, former President Donald Trump tore into his successor’s compromised position on the world stage and what it means for Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“This is China’s heretofore unthinkable opportunity…”

President Joe Biden’s ongoing denials of the foreign business deals that have appeared to generate millions in profits for him and his family have done little to contend with the mounting evidence to the contrary.
Now, as a whistleblower has come forward suggesting a direct connection between Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and a Chinese executive, as well as the Justice Department’s alleged failure to investigate, Trump asserted Xi has the president in his pocket.
Speaking Saturday from the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority event in Washington, D.C., the former president read part of the WhatsApp message attributed to Hunter that said, “I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight.”
“I didn’t know he was that tough,” Trump joked to the crowd before going on to read the apparent threat from Hunter that said in part, “I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.”
“Within ten days, the Bidens got $5.1 million from China for absolutely no reason. They got $5.1 million. In fact, they’ve taken tens of millions of dollars from China,” Trump went on. “And that’s probably why, maybe he’s not complaining about the fact that they’re building military bases in Cuba. Maybe that’s the reason.”
As previously reported, the White House had denied that there was a secret agreement between China and Cuba allowing for the Asian nation to “establish an electronic facility on the island, which would allow Chinese intelligence services to scoop up electronic communications throughout the southeastern U.S.”
However, recent events, including the numerous spy balloons that had been flown over the continental United States, strained credulity and led Trump to describe Biden as a “compromised president” beholden to his alleged financial arrangements.
“This is truly 100 times bigger than Watergate. This is a much bigger story than Watergate. That’s why Biden doesn’t mind that China has opened up these military installations. He’s basically said, it’s okay. He’s not doing anything, even saying anything. He’s not talking about it,” the former commander-in-chief argued.
His remarks on the subject weren’t limited to his speech as he had also taken to Truth Social, as internal tensions appeared to flare within Russia, with a broader critique on Biden’s failure to deter Russian President Vladimir Putin from attacking Ukraine.
“Biden will do about Russia whatever President Xi of China wants him to do. Remember, Hunter & Joe illegally took large amounts of money from both countries, but China right now is the bigger threat,” Trump wrote. “China & Russia, until Biden came along, have always been natural enemies, with China wanting large portions of largely unpopulated Russian land to have for their much larger population. This is China’s heretofore unthinkable opportunity, much bigger than Taiwan, which to President Xi, can wait!”
He then cautioned, “A big mess in Russia, but be careful what you wish for. Next in may be far worse!”
