Bill Clinton slammed House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) with the former president uncorking an angry tirade over his upcoming deposition about his relationship with notorious pedophile and alleged blackmailer Jeffrey Epstein.
The nation’s 42nd president and his wife, failed former Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, finally agreed to comply with the committee’s subpoenas for testimony in its probe of Epstein and madame Ghislaine Maxwell’s crimes. By agreeing to the conditions, the Clintons avoided being held in contempt but continued to insist on the hearings being public, allowing the media to turn them into a spectacle.
An indignant Clinton took to X on Friday to accuse the Oversight boss of wanting to use him as “a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court” that he suggests does little to deliver justice to Epstein’s victims and is a purely political undertaking by a “scared” Republican Party.
“I have called for the full release of the Epstein files. I have provided a sworn statement of what I know. And just this week, I’ve agreed to appear in person before the committee. But it’s still not enough for Republicans on the House Oversight Committee,” Clinton wrote in a series of Friday afternoon posts to X.

“Now, Chairman Comer says he wants cameras, but only behind closed doors. Who benefits from this arrangement? It’s not Epstein’s victims, who deserve justice. Not the public, who deserve the truth. It serves only partisan interests. This is not fact-finding, it’s pure politics,” the former Democrat president continued.

“I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared. If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about,” he concluded.

It has long been established that Slick Willie was buddies with Epstein, including taking multiple trips on board the “Lolita Express,” which is the nickname for the wealthy financier’s private airplane, which reputedly hosted flying sex orgies.
Mrs. Clinton also lashed out, trying to goad Comer into public hearings where she could play the victim.
So let’s stop the games.
If you want this fight, @RepJamesComer, let’s have it—in public.
You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on.
We will be there.

“Republicans and Democrats on the Oversight Committee have been clear: no one is above the law—and that includes the Clintons. After delaying and defying duly issued subpoenas for six months, the House Oversight Committee moved swiftly to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings in response to their non-compliance. Once it became clear that the House of Representatives would hold them in contempt, the Clintons completely caved and will appear for transcribed, filmed depositions this month,” Comer said in a statement after the Clintons caved.
“We look forward to questioning the Clintons as part of our investigation into the horrific crimes of Epstein and Maxwell, to deliver transparency and accountability for the American people and for survivors,” the chairman added.
Clinton is slated to sit for his deposition on February 27, 2026, a day after Hillary gets grilled.
