Bill Clinton gets blindsided by Jeffrey Epstein relationship inquiry. Here’s his awkward answer.

Former President Bill Clinton was caught off guard Monday by a question about his alleged relationship with now-deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and lived up to his old moniker “Slick Willy.”

Clinton was in in Laredo, Texas, stumping for Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar, and was confronted by Juan Mendoza, a journalist with Real America’s Voice.

“Any comments on your alleged, uh, allegation of your connection with Jeffrey Epstein?” Mendoza can be heard asking in a clip he shared online.

After leaning in toward the journalist to better hear the question, Clinton steps back and offers a broad smile while a handler or member of his security makes it clear with his facial expressions and actions that the question is not worthy of the former president’s time.

“I think the evidence is clear,” Clinton said with a laugh, as he moved on down the line — not offering what the evidence was clear about.

“I confronted @BillClinton at the rally he held with @RepCuellar in Laredo about his alleged connection to child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein,” Mendoza tweeted, along with the footage.

In what served as a betrayal that Mendoza got inside his head, Clinton shot a quick glance back at the reporter as he feigned interest in others seeking to greet him.

Having a little fun with the incident, Mendoza would later tweet, “I am not suicidal…just in case.”

This being in reference to not only the conspiracy theories in response to Epstein allegedly hanging himself in 2019 inside a Manhattan prison cell but persistent online joking about the fate that befalls those who cross the Clintons.

As for the alleged relationship — Clinton had flown multiple times on the late billionaire’s plane dubbed “The Lolita Express” — Clinton’s camp released a statement in 2019 that said, “President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York.”

While confirming that he had flown on Epstein’s plane, the statement said the two hadn’t spoken in “well over a decade.” Rumors of  Clinton visiting Epstein’s Caribbean property known as “Pedophile Island,” were also denied, with the release stating that Clinton had “never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico or his residence in Florida.

However, flight logs showed Clinton took at least 26 flights aboard Epstein’s Boeing 727 jet between 2001 and 2003, according to Fox News, which further reported that at least five of those flights were without his Secret Service detail.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
