Bill de Blasio’s ex recalls ‘touchy-feely’ Eric Swalwell encounter at DNC meeting with Donna Brazile

The one-time girlfriend of a former New York mayor recalled a decade-old, “touchy-feely” encounter with Eric Swalwell that seemingly proved the Democratic Party runs a “protection racket.”

Allegations of sexual misconduct, including rape, proved too much to overcome for Swalwell’s California gubernatorial aspirations and for Democrats to defend him in Congress, leading to his campaign suspension and resignation. Now, as accusations found the left denying knowledge of the disgraced politician’s alleged behavior, progressive activist Nomiki Konst shared a story about what Swalwell was supposedly doing with her “in the open in a DNC meeting.”

Joining journalist Tara Palmeri’s podcast from a hotel in Spain, where she was attending an international socialist convention, the ex-girlfriend of former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) and supporter of current Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s (D) campaign harkened back to an encounter at a Chicago hotel with the then-second-term congressman.

As she explained, while seated at a table during a 2016 gathering of the Democratic National Committee, Swalwell brought her a prosecco and became “touchy-feely, like touching my hands.”

“He was doing it out in the open in a DNC meeting with Donna Brazile, with senators and congress members and press,” Konst told Palmeri, indicating how uncomfortable she became when, as Swalwell broke away to get another drink, she was told that he was a married man.

The activist expressed, “And I’m like, you are so reckless that you are just out here in the open acting like this. So it was an open secret that he at least cheated on his wife … What really gets under my skin is how this man thought he could get away with it in 2026.”

She further described his “narcissism” as she detailed that he sent her a direct message on X years later, seemingly without recognition of their previous encounter.

The quick departure of Swalwell from both his campaign and the House of Representatives had many suspecting the move was more like a CYA political hit job meant to both shield the Democrats from having to defend him and to bolster the likelihood of a victory in the California governor election.

Of course, that didn’t stop Democrats from denying the alleged “open secret” as California Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D) told moderator Frank Sesno during a speaking engagement at George Washington University, “No, that’s not true,” in response to the suggestion, “Some Republicans and others are saying that Democrats turned kind of a blind eye, that they knew what [Swalwell] was up to or what the allegations were-”

“That is absolutely positive- It’s true that they may say that, but it is absolutely not true,” insisted the former House speaker, who repeated that she had no idea about his alleged abuse, “None whatsoever. None whatsoever. I had none whatsoever.”

Konst didn’t buy into such suggestions as she accused Congress of running a “protection racket” to cover up sexual misconduct, while she remained disgusted by the situation, “[Swalwell] thought he was going to be governor?”

Heaping on the hate for Swalwell, Palmeri expressed how she got the “ick” from the Democrat and commented, “I think he’s sociopathic.”
