Leftists desperately wanted to make January 6 an infamous date in United States history, but they’re finding out the hard way that most people just aren’t bothered.
Take former Capitol Hill police officer Harry Dunn, for instance. A Baltimore Sun article detailed his disappointment with Americans following his unsuccessful run for the House of Representatives.
“A large portion of Maryland residents hadn’t heard of Jan. 6, or simply didn’t care that much about it,” Dunn said during an interview with Capital News Service.
“There are a lot of people even here in Maryland that don’t give a damn if the president sends a mob to attack, to overthrow the election.”
He even accused those in attendance of hurling racial slurs at him, something that he has maintained since January 6.

Dunn used his experience from the events of January 6 to campaign for former President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, harping on the “threat” posed by President Donald Trump.
“Campaigning, doing events, doing whatever I could do to get the point across about how dangerous and real this threat is,” he said.
As far as his own campaign, Dunn says he considers it an extension of his public service career.
“I was an officer, but I mean, ultimately, what it came down to is: I’m a public servant, and I’ve always been that, and I feel like it was just an extension of my public service, running for office.”
He even took to his Bluesky account to write about how much he hates Trump and his supporters in April, saying “Donald sent a mob to kill me and my coworkers, if you support him after that, there will NEVER be any common ground between us and i hate you as much as i hate him.”
The former officer also believes that the Insurrection Clause of the Constitution should have prevented Trump from being able to run for a second term, something tens of millions of Americans apparently disagree with.
“The definition of an insurrection is a violent uprising against an authority or the government,” Dunn whined. “That is exactly what happened on January 6th.”
