Black activist: White folks lack ’empathy,’ must ‘unpack inherent violence’ under supervision

Much like we see from the left in mainstreaming blatant Jew-hating in the aftermath of the worst attack on Jews since the days of Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust, at the hands of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, so too has the left mainstreamed the open discrimination against white people — this being the bedrock of the so-called visions of equity.

It’s of little surprise that these extremist views dominate colleges, given that ill-informed, ignorant drivel is celebrated on campus as enlightened thought. It’s also likely that higher education is the source of a racist Portland, Ore.-based black woman calling for white people who “inherently” lack empathy to be reprogrammed.

Vonda Page, who comically bills herself as a “real-world empathy coach & results mentor,” posted a stunning video stereotyping all white people while claiming they have a “history of violence,”

“White people do not inherently have empathy and it’s something that I’ve talked about for more than a year,” Page begins. “And one of the reasons is because it has not been modeled. If you look at the epigenetic nature of white folks, especially European Americans, white American people, there is this long-standing history of violence and there has been no effort, no intentions, no work for white people to unpack it.”

“So it doesn’t really matter what type of community, it doesn’t matter what the effort — white people don’t have any practice in doing anything that is anti-oppressive,” she continues. “The things they have practiced doing together is violence, right? Is coming together to do what, overthrow the government. Coming together to do what, perform a lynching. Coming together to do what, perform violence.”

As problematic as her thought process is — a 2010 University of Toronto-Scarborough study determined that white people lack empathy for people of color — Page’s solution is for white people to be subjugated by marginalized people.

“What has to happen first and foremost before there’s any movement for white folks around change, around justice, around progress is they have to first unpack that inherent violence that sits in them,” Page proclaims. “Now, they cannot do that, unless they’re under some sort of leadership coaching and mentorship of people who are more marginalized than they are.”

“So what happens in these other spaces where you may have neurodivergent folks or queer folks or you know, whatever, right?” she rambles on. “There are all these other marginalized identities that people fail to realize that, unless you are black, those other marginalized identities do not outweigh the marginalization of black people. And when black people are queer or neural divergent or you know, older or in a fat body or anything else, right, the marginalization is greater than anybody that’s white.”

To get a better feel for Page’s views, she wrote in an August 2022 LinkedIn column that she was “a descendant of African kings and queens, whose ancestors were stolen and to this day still subjugated,” and that her idea of real justice for black people is reparations and returning the land to all indigenous communities to ensure restoration.
