Bongino justifiably loses it over CIA ‘raid’ drama while fate of U.S. hangs in the balance

Conservative radio show host Dan Bongino went scorched Earth on some Republicans and the media this Thursday for focusing on a phony CIA raid story instead of the existential crisis America is currently in.

The drama began on Wednesday when Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said during an interview that she was “just notified” that the CIA had taken multiple boxes of documents related to JFK’s assassination and MKUltra out of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

She followed up after the NewsNation interview by posting a tweet giving the CIA a 24-hour ultimatum to return the documents:

Her claim quickly went viral, with Fox News host Jesse Watters describing the CIA’s actions as a “raid” against the ODNI.

However, the ODNI has refuted everything.

“This is false — the CIA did not raid the DNI’s office,” ODNI spokesperson Olivia Coleman wrote on social media.

Luna has also denied ever saying anything about a “raid.”

Addressing all this on his radio show Thursday, Bongino compared the furor over this non-story to the lack of attention being paid to China’s attempts to obtain global dominance.

“China out there with nuclear weapons and AI capability that could probably shut down at some point in the very near future, and is certainly a threat now to all kinds of systems in the United States,” he began. “The president’s overseas on the most important foreign trip he’s ever going to take. And these leaks are going out in the media.”

“Why is this even in the f–king media? … Are you sh–ting me, man? President Trump right now has got the entire globe’s future in its hands.
If we screw this thing up with China and it results in thermonuclear war or the shutdown of our entire freaking electrical grid due to a cyber attack, we’re all effing dead, folks,” he added.

His point appeared to be that America has way bigger fish to fry than a bogus story about one U.S. government agency allegedly raiding another  U.S. government agency.

**Warning for language**

“We’ve got bullsh-t leaks from a bunch of kids pissed off inside the administration that what their agenda is not being [pursued],” Bongino continued. “You didn’t get elected. It’s not about your f–king agenda. It’s not about you, man. You didn’t get elected to sh-t.”

“We’ve only got international trade to deal with, cyber threats, the straits, nuclear weapons in Iran, Hamas terrorists, you know, China’s building next generation stealth fighters — like, kind of important stuff. And this f–king kiddie bullsh-t’s going on. Get the f–k out of here with that sh-t,” he angrily added.

He concluded by pointing out that this sort of “Republican on Republican” nonsense started by Luna helps nobody.

Luna, for her part, has walked back some of her claim, though she still maintains the CIA took documents from ODNI.

However, the documents were reportedly taken “last year” in the middle of the night during a government shutdown. In addition, the documents allegedly have not been returned, meaning ODNI can’t declassify them and scan them for public release.

Investigative journalist and commentator Laura Loomer has alleged the raid story was a “disinformation op” fed to Luna by the Russians.
