‘Bored’ Whoopi Goldberg unleashes her fury on Democrats who pushed Biden out

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg unleashed her fury on Democrats  Tuesday for pushing President Joe Biden out of the 2024 race.

“The messaging that we have put out to people over a certain age is horrific,” she began. “We have basically said, ‘Hey, you know what? We kind of think if you’re over a certain age, you don’t really have what it takes to do the job that you’re doing.’ That’s the messaging that we put out. I’m bored by hearing that.”

“I would have preferred my Democrats to do this not publicly and in everybody’s face. What it did was it had us sitting, having to talk about this endlessly,” she added.

Fellow co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump aide, pushed back by arguing that the job of the presidency is “so different than any other job,” in that it requires much more aptitude and competence than usual.

Goldberg wasn’t convinced.

“Again, it is saying to people of a certain age, because that’s what the messaging has been, ‘You’re old, you’re doddering,'” she said. “It really pissed me off. Not because I’m as close, but because I felt it was disrespectful.”

Goldberg also issued a warning for any Democrat interested in challenging Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 nomination.

“I am trusting that we’re not going to have a problem here because this is what everybody said they wanted to happen,” she said.

“Mr. Manchin, don’t even think about it,” she added, referencing Independent Sen. Joe Manchin, who’d said he was considering re-registering as a Democrat to run for president.

“We don’t want you. We don’t want you. We saw what you did. Go on and stay wherever you are,” she continued.

Meanwhile, co-host Sunny Hostin couldn’t help but portray Biden as the greatest thing since the Second Coming.

“It shows what a patriot he is,” she said of the decision to drop out of the 2024 race. “It shows he can put his country before his ego. He has such a great record as president. History will note him as one of the greatest presidents that we’ve had. I really do believe that.”

However, she too expressed discomfort with the way he was pushed out.

“But I wasn’t comfortable with the notion that people were forcing him out,” she said. “I wasn’t comfortable with the cannibalization I saw within the Democratic party. But I am comfortable if he made this decision with his inner circle and family and decided to do it on his own.”

Co-host Ana Navarro for her part expressed “gratitude” for Biden voluntarily dropping out but anger over him being pressured out.

“I was also mad because he’s been dragged relentlessly for three weeks by some people who were supposedly his friend,” she said. “I hope those donors who said things about him come back with big checks now.”

But co-host Sara Haines surprisingly took the side of the Democrats.

“There is room for criticism when you’re talking about the biggest job in the world,” she said. “Those people that are friends, even George Clooney… a lot of those people were torn themselves. I commend the people that took that risk and said we need to do this. That began some very hard conversations.”

Clooney made headlines recently for penning a stunning op-ed in The New York Times calling for Biden to exit the race.

Haines had been calling for Biden to exit the race ever since his disastrous debate with former President Donald Trump.

“I think President Biden needs to step down and be replaced,” she said during the first episode of the show that aired after the debate. “If we want to defeat Donald Trump in November then I absolutely think that. I think Biden’s team saw it coming…Democrats need to stop spinning the age problem.”

“A lot of people are concerned with his age and the Democrats have twisted themselves into a pretzel saying, ‘Don’t believe your lying eyes. It’s not true.’ Joy Behar is 81. Joy Behar at 81 is not Joe Biden at 81 and that was on full display last night,” she added.

Griffin at the time agreed with her, saying she was “genuinely shocked” by the president’s poor debate performance and referred to it as “stunningly worse than I expected.”

She then turned around and lied, claiming Trump’s performance had also been  disastrous because he’d “lied his way through it.” (Fact-check: FALSE)
