Café owner’s disgusting bumper sticker ignites outrage – and for good reason

An LGBTQ activist and restaurant owner from Maine has been linked to a “Make Assassinations Great Again” bumper sticker that has sparked outrage.

Independent journalist and podcaster Nick Sorter revealed that he had “identified the individual”  sporting the bumper sticker on a car from an image first shared online by Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show.

In the wake of Kirk’s assassination in Utah, the bumper sticker’s sentiment ignited furious backlash and, in a post on X late Sunday, Sortor reported that he had passed on information to the Department of Homeland Security, which confirmed an investigation was underway.

The offensive sticker allegedly belongs to Susanna DeSilva, a 32-year-old in Topsham, Maine, who was born female but now goes by the name Ray. DeSilva, along with her wife, Ashley, reportedly co-owns the Fishnet Cafe on Bailey Island, which they purchased in January.

“Susanna’s FB profile contains a lot of leftist rhetoric, becoming increasingly aggressive over the years,” Sortor posted in a follow-up post on X.

“Radical leftists vioIence is a problem that needs to be addressed NOW!” he added. “Play time is over. Offend whoever needs to be offended. And throw them in handcuffs.”

Evidently, celebrating assassinations is not good for business, as the Fishnet Cafe soon found out.

Yelp reviews began to surface about the eatery, with one person posting, “If you are a conservative, I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.”

Sortor soon posted a stunning update: “The LGBTQ activist with a ‘Make Assassinations Great Again’ bumper sticker on her car didn’t pay the website bill for her cafe, so a patriot bought it out from under her and redirected it to Turning Point’s donation site.”

Reports of DeSilva’s connection to the vile bumper sticker have been limited to social media posts, and there has not yet been an official federal statement about an investigation. X users reacted to the latest updates.
