California does it, votes to force residents to drink toilet water

Not only does the left want you to eat bugs over a steak dinner, they also want you to wash it down with toilet water — all in the name of saving the planet, of course.

California regulators approved new rules on Tuesday allowing water agencies to “recycle wastewater and put it right back into the pipes that carry drinking water to homes, schools and businesses,” the Associated Press reported.

Note that “regulators” made this happen via “new rules,” not through legislation by state lawmakers elected to represent the people.

“It’s a big step for a state that has struggled for decades to secure reliable sources of drinking water for its more than 39 million residents. And it signals a shift in public opinion on a subject that as recently as two decades ago prompted backlash that scuttled similar projects,” the news agency reported.

Jennifer West, managing director of WateReuse California, a group advocating for recycled water, told AP: “Water is so precious in California. It’s important that we use it more than once.”

As the article noted, California has been using recycled wastewater for decades for making ice for a minor league hockey team’s rink, making snow at a ski resort and farmers in the Central Valley use it to grow much of the nation’s vegetables, fruits and nuts.

But it hasn’t been used directly for drinking water… and rest assured, the “experts” insist it’s safe.

But don’t take our word for it, here’s billionaire Bill Gates proudly declaring in 2015,  “I drank water made from human feces.”

Gates links to an update on his website Gates Notes regarding improved sanitation, which states in part:

Earlier this year, I shared a video where I drank water made from feces. (My review: It was delicious.) Today the machine that produced the water, the Janicki Omni Processor—or JOP—is in Dakar, Senegal, as part of a pilot project that could ultimately save lives and reduce disease in poor countries. Here’s an update on where things stand:

You may recall that the JOP takes human waste and turns it into drinking water, electricity, and ash. (It is actually one of several Omni Processors being developed that treat human waste and produce something of value.) It’s tempting to focus on the drinking water, for obvious reasons. But the goal is not to provide water. The goal is to dramatically improve sanitation for all the cities in poor countries.
