Candace Owens’ epic slam on ‘ghetto’ Juneteenth lands FIRE bonus blows to Marc Lamont Hill

Conservative commentator Candace Owens’ take on “ghetto” Juneteenth included landing a bonus blow on one well-known “black intellectual” who once struggled with the differences between men and women.

Once primarily a Texan commemoration of Emancipation Day, marking the June 19, 1865, public announcement in Galveston, Texas that President Abraham Lincoln had issued the Emancipation Proclamation two-and-a-half years earlier, Juneteenth was recognized federally in 2021 riding the wave of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Using that to illustrate her views on the broader problems within the black community, Owens asserted, “Juneteenth is still ghetto and made up. Hope everyone enjoys it.”

As backlash poured in, the podcast host responded to a select few posts, including one that had piggybacked off Temple University professor and commentator Marc Lamont Hill.

“Foremost, black American culture has gotten ghetto. I know you’re used to the media lying to black Americans pretending that high murder rates, illiterate children, and degenerate music is ‘progress’, [because] ‘oh look, we gave you Juneteenth!’–but I’m not falling for the bullsh*t,” Owens asserted after social media user Lem wrote, “Also note her choice of the word ‘Ghetto’… to Candace, anything associated with [African American] culture is ghetto including our holidays.”

She further slammed, “If you need your hand held, there are plenty of black and white liberal commentators to choose from that are training black Americans to feel proud of the rot that surrounds them. I am not one of them.”

Having quote tweeted Owens, Hill tried to score points by misrepresenting iconic American holidays as oppressive and wrote, “ALL holidays are made up. You honor July 4th, which commemorates ‘independence’ despite the fact that Black people were still enslaved. You celebrate Thanksgiving, which whitewashes indigenous genocide. Yet you’re bothered by Juneteenth, which celebrates Black freedom? Why?”

To that, the firebrand founder of BLEXIT busted out a clip from a discussion they had on her show in 2020 where, when asked if men can give birth, he said, “Sometimes. That’s my answer, yes.”

“Uh-oh. A black intellectual has entered the chat…”

“Black America should definitely be taking cues on which holidays to celebrate from a man who believes that men can menstruate and give birth,” Owens added.

To her point, in just one reported instance at a Chicago-area mall where a Juneteenth celebration was taking place Saturday night, 20 people were been shot and at least one of them fatally as violent crime in the Windy City has long gone unaddressed.

Of course, Owens didn’t limit her mocking to one post, or event to just Juneteenth. Firing off at victimhood culture and the mindsets that have kept the majority of black voters lining up for Democrats, she quipped, “Be sure to leave your milk and cookies out–maybe Joe Biden will bring you those reparations Democrats keep promising you. Absolute fools. But enjoy your pander of a holiday.”

Then she took a shot at alphabet activists and asserted, “Pride month is ghetto too, as are the overwhelming majority of these holidays and celebrations that are about nothing other than dividing people. (Disclaimer: pride month is also about debauchery, sexual perversion, and pedophilia).”
