Conservative firebrand Candace Owens is launching a new daily podcast and ahead of the Monday premiere she teased her first “deep dive” was an expose on the “hospital mafia” that threatened her in the hours after the birth of her second child.
Saturday, DailyWire+, the subscription streaming service offered by the Daily Wire, announced Owens would begin hosting a new show Monday eponymously titled “Candace Owens” replacing her weekly program “Candace.” As the outlet described it, the show “will focus on deep dives, investigations, and exposes,” with the premiere involving her personal experience of a Tennessee hospital allegedly pushing to “send child services to [her] house and charge [her] with a misdemeanor.”
Owens recounted the experience in greater detail in an interview with the Daily Mail where she explained the problems with staff at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN began when she declined taking any drugs prior to going into labor.

“I had been very vocal about not wanting to be loaded up with unnecessary drugs during labor,” she said, having refused antibiotics and Pitocin, a contraction-inducing drug. “The doctor wanted me to take antibiotics, and I declined. Because I declined, they wanted me to stay in the hospital for 48 hours–and big coincidence, that’s the maximum amount that insurance will cover.”
The mother of two went on to say that she then underwent “torture” as she and her child tried to rest and staff repeatedly knocked on the door for “check-ins” at all hours of the night demanding her baby undergo a battery of tests.
The intrusions had her ready to go after the first day, but as she recalled, “That’s what they do…you can’t leave until you take this test, until you get the antibiotics.”
“As a result, when we asked to leave after 24 hours of torture in the form of relentless knocks — the hospital mafia descended,” Owens said, alleging that one pediatrician belittled her and her husband George Farmer by saying “that she watched a baby die in the 47th hour because her parents refused to stay.”
As the Daily Wire documented, Owens expressed, “I’ve obviously been aggressive about addressing lies and corruption in news and politics for a long time. But being a mom has taken my urgency to address and expose what’s happening in our world to a whole new level.”
The threat of a misdemeanor left her relenting to the tests for her newborn including a blood draw, leaving her seeking to be a voice for others who’ve gone through what she had. “So many parents and woman go through that, not in control of their child, feeling threatened,” she told the Mail. “Doing that show will allow me to continue that discussion.”
“People shouldn’t have to be scared CPS will take their newborn kids away,” she said, as she decried an industry seeking “guaranteed dollars–hearing test, blood test, getting temperature taken–when you get your bills that’s why.”
“From insane gender theory to corrupt medical practices to a state-sponsored media that lies to us every single day, I am deeply disturbed about the state of American and what it means for my own kids’ future,” Owens said, according to the Daily Wire. “There’s no force more unstoppable than a protective parent, and this new show will be my way of blowing the lid off of the lies and corruption that seek to destroy our way of life.”
“Will my child grow up in the same America that I grew up in, with the same opportunities?” she asked in discussion with the Mail. “I have a lot of anxiety about the answer to that question, which is being determined now.”
Ultimately, Owens explained that insurance did cover her hospital stay and there were no charges filed against her or her husband.
