Casey DeSantis says she’s forced to bargain hunt due to Bidenomics and is now shopping for $2.00 shirts for her kids because she doesn’t want to spend too much money.
She says the nickname “Walmart Melania” is appropriate.
Bidenomics is hitting Americans hard and that includes the DeSantis clan. Casey DeSantis is not ashamed of shopping at Walmart or being compared to former First Lady Melania Trump. Because of President Biden’s disastrous economic policies, she shops for bargains for her children just as most mothers do across the nation. The First Lady of Florida is not shy about laying the blame where it belongs.
“I need $2 T-shirts, OK. I’m just saying,” Casey DeSantis told a crowd in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, knocking “Bidenomics” for the high price of goods including children’s clothing.

The comment by Casey DeSantis was a variation of one she made at another Iowa event in Charles City last month.
“Guilty as charged. I shop at Walmart. Thank you Bidenomics, OK? Everything is so darn expensive and my children grow up so fast that I need $2 t-shirts. OK?” she told another crowd who seemed to be in complete agreement and could relate to the statement.
“DeSantis’ quip was part of an increasingly familiar routine about how she’s called ‘Walmart Melania’ by critics, who the former broadcast journalist told the Iowa crowd was a creation of the ‘media’ in the back of the room,” Florida Politics reported.

She considers the comparison to Melania Trump to be a compliment and has said so before.
“I’m like, score. If I can be in the same sentence as Melania, that’s a win for me because she’s gorgeous and yes, I’m guilty as charged,” she quipped to laughter.
“They refer to me as the ‘Walmart Melania.’ And so I just had a beer. I can’t imagine what the media is going to say now as a result of all of this,” Casey DeSantis stated on the Ruthless Podcast this summer.
Florida’s first lady has been hit with numerous attempted smears by leftists such as “Walmart Melania,” “America’s Karen,” and “Eddie Munster.” She appears to take them in stride and addresses them in media appearances when given the chance.

“One thing that the corporate media did get right about me: I do shop at Walmart. I think it’s interesting and you probably can sympathize with this when they come after you and they’re just calling you names,” DeSantis said in an interview on “Fox & Friends.”
“That means they don’t want to litigate the merits of their case. They don’t want to have that conversation. They want to call you names. They want to try to get you to back down. But I can tell you the No. 1 thing — we will not back down when it comes to our family,” she vowed.
