While it may not be the most powerful way of fighting back against Russia for their invasion of Ukraine, Brookings Institute senior fellow Benjamin Wittes’ “special military operation” was hilarious and one heck of a morale booster.
On Wednesday, Wittes and his crew set out to troll the Russian embassy and while the “operation” met a number of snags, the end result has gone viral.
As he projected an image of the blue and yellow Ukraine flag onto the side of the embassy building, it was apparent that the staff was using a spotlight to try and wash out the colors. This prompted a game of “cat and mouse.”

This is silly and ridiculous – why am I laughing so hard? The way the flag taunts the spotlight is hilarious. pic.twitter.com/ImdapC9y00
