A criminal alien has been taken into federal custody after reportedly raping a child in the rich, leftist enclave of Martha’s Vineyard.
Brazilian national Warley Neto, 24, was taken into custody late last month after the Dukes County Superior Court indicted him on five counts of raping a child and five counts of enticing a child under 16.

Neto originally crossed into the U.S. illegally near Paso Del Norte, Texas in March 2018 but was released with a notice to appear before an immigration judge, according to an ICE press release.
He resurfaced in Martha’s Vineyard early last year after the Edgartown Police Department arrested him for strangulation or suffocation, assault & battery on a family household member, and a threat to commit a crime.
In June of 2023, Neto was found guilty of the strangulation charges and sentenced to prison for a year. All but 90 days of the sentence were suspended by the court for some unknown reason. It’s not clear why he wasn’t taken into federal custody at the time.
What’s known is that officers from ICE arrested Neto on Aug. 23rd “at the Dukes County Superior Court after the Dukes County Sheriff’s Office honored [ICE’s] immigration detainer.”

“We are grateful for the cooperation of the Dukes County Sheriff’s Office for prioritizing public safety and allowing Neto’s safe transfer of custody,” ICE official Todd M. Lyons said in a statement.
“Too often local jurisdictions refuse to honor immigration detainers and release dangerous offenders back into the community to reoffend. [ICE] will continue to apprehend and remove the most egregious noncitizen offenders from New England,” he added.
Responding to news of Neto’s arrest, critics were quick to blame the Biden administration for his crimes.
While it’s true Neto arrived under the Trump administration, the border crisis has only grown exponentially worse under President Joe Biden.
Look:
To call this a disgrace is an understatement! The Biden/Harris administration can stop this illegal march to the US in one NY moment. One might even think they get their “jollies” off from hearing about these despicable crimes!

This country is going to he’ll under Biden and Harris. Who wants a whole to be our President. She opened the border as a threat to American citizens. She committed treason and should be in jail rather than on stage talking about building a wall now. She hates America, period.

Just another of Biden/Harris ILLEGALS THEY LET INTO THE COUNTRY. The border was secure when they took office. We had a few mean tweets, low gas prices, no inflation and respect from foreign governments when the man worked for nothing and donated his entire salary.

I don’t care if the media keeps convincing you to hate Trump with their lies. 4 more years of this is intolerable! Biden/HARRIS tried to stop every attempt Gov Abbott made to stop these criminals from coming into our country. Bring back REMAIN IN MEXICO. Harris WON’T stop this!

Martha’s Vineyard is known for being a leftist enclave full of rich, wealthy, and often politically connected leftists.
The community last made immigration-related headlines when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis purposefully flew a group of criminal aliens to the community in 2022 to clear up space in his state, which at the time was being overrun by illegals.
The flight prompted massive anger from Martha’s Vineyard leftist residents, prompting state officials to quickly intervene and “deport” the illegals from the island less than 24 hours after their arrival.
Evidently, it would have been too much of a hassle for one of the community’s many open-border leftists to open their own multimillion-dollar home to some of the illegals.
The Martha’s Vineyard thing might be the best and clearest example of what so many of us have been talking about for years. The progressive elites advocate for policies that they never have to suffer the consequences of. And the one time they do, it ends quickly.
