An “unofficial” poll told a far different story about the vice president’s chances in Nevada as a CBS News segment seeking supporters left viewers “shocked that they aired that.”
In recent years, notable polling disparities included then-businessman Donald Trump defeating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election and the big red wave that wasn’t in the 2022 midterm elections. After a “CBS Mornings” report sought to hear directly from the voters, Vice President Kamala Harris’ vibes campaign appeared to be just that and little more.
“We had so much fun, but what was really incredible is in every single restaurant, the people willing to talk to us,” explained CBS News journalist Adriana Diaz. “We could only find one Harris supporter in every restaurant. And we left no stone unturned. I approached every single person.”

The segment that became ready fodder for the Trump campaign saw Diaz in a Silver State diner at a table with women who blasted the “border czar’s” failures.
“I’m extremely concerned about the border,” said one while another woman who pushed back on claims the illegal aliens were largely after “asylum” argued, “Baloney. They’re coming here for the freebies.”
“Illegals, they gotta go,” she told Diaz.
Another woman in the diner clarified conservative views on immigration often overlooked by corporate media as she expressed, “There are people who have come here legally. Why do they get pushed aside to allow people who have not even worked one day in our country, have not paid into the system…”
CBS went to a diner in Washoe County, Nevada — and only found a single Harris supporter.
Here’s what was on voters minds:

According to the most recent RealClearPolitics polling average, Harris maintained a slim 1.2% advantage over Trump at 47.6-46.4%. Prior to President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race in July, the GOP leader was maintaining a lead in Nevada despite having lost the state in both 2016 and 2020.
In another portion of the segment, one voter was asked about hope and revealed to Diaz, “I’ve never owned a gun in my life and I own four of them now,” while his wife explained, “I want someone who’s strong, who demands respect, and who gets the respect and who can deal with foreign leaders. I think Trump’s the guy.”
Meanwhile, business owners were not shy about faulting Bidenomics for the state of the economy where the Biden-Harris administration continued to throw good money after bad, “It’s the same as if you have an old house, you know. Oh, let’s just keep fixing it and fixing it. Sometimes the solution is you gotta tear it down and rebuild.”

With the state of corporate media, users on X were hardly blown away by the reality on the ground in Nevada, but they did express, “I’m shocked that they aired that. I’m not so shocked at the results though.”
“The unofficial polls seem more accurate than the ‘official’ ones,” others agreed.

GOLLYYYYY, they really handpicked this set of women, thinking they had this in the bag. It’s all older white women and an African American woman.
If your BEST demographic isn’t having it, then you got trouble.

Only a single Harris voter is insane ! The polls aren’t showing the truth. A red wave is coming in November
