Charlie Kirk assassin’s dad turns killer son in after he confesses, more details emerge on evidence

The monster who allegedly assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk is in custody, with the cold-blooded killer’s own father reportedly turning him in.

Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah resident who did not attend Utah Valley University, where Kirk was fatally shot, confessed to the crime and told his father he would rather kill himself than turn himself in, according to the Daily Mail.

His father, a 27-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, “contacted authorities and secured his son before he could be taken into custody.”

“Robinson was taken into custody around 11pm local time in southern Utah on Thursday night. He lives in a $600,000 six-bedroom home in Washington, Utah – about 260 miles south of Kirk’s assassination in Orem,” the British newspaper reported.

He faces charges of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury and obstruction of justice, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by NBC News.

The left’s Nazification efforts against the right appears to have played a role here, as Robinson was allegedly “anti-fascist” and viewed Kirk as a Nazi.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox said Robinson’s family told investigators that he had become more political and had recently expressed his dislike for Kirk, telling them he was “full of hate.”

The bullet casings from the weapon used to kill Kirk were engraved with messages. One engraving read ‘Hey Fascists, Catch!’ — next to an up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol and three down arrow symbols, according to Cox. Another read ‘OwO’, and a third read ‘If You Read This You Are Gay LMAO.”

Robinson’s roommate reportedly showed investigators messages on Discord where he talked about retrieving a rifle from a drop point, leaving the rifle in a bush, and references to engraved bullets and a scope.

President Donald J. Trump told “Fox & Friends” early Friday, “I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him… Somebody who was very close to him turned him in.”

The president revealed it was the suspect’s dad, before adding, “I hope he’s going to be found guilty, and I hope he gets the death penalty. What he did — Charlie Kirk was the finest person and he didn’t deserve this.”
