Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin’s transgender roommate ‘hates conservatives and Christians,’ relative says

The roommate of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin “hates conservatives and Christians,” according to a relative.

Speaking with Fox News Digital in an interview, the relative of suspect Tyler Robinson said the 22-year-old had been in a romantic relationship with his transgender roommate. The roommate, also 22, has not been charged with any crime by authorities.

“He hates conservatives and Christians,” Robinson’s relative, who wished to remain anonymous, told Fox News Digital.

“He hated us. He was not raised that way, but he, over the years, has become really detached [and] been radicalized,” she added.

“He has obviously gotten progressively worse the last year or two,” she said, adding that he’s “always very angry.”

The relative connected Robinson’s behavior to the influence his partner may have had over his views and political beliefs while they were in a relationship. The two shared an apartment in St. George, Utah.

“I think Tyler got a whole lot worse in the year they have been dating. They are big gamers, and obviously, they have that group that influences them as well as others. But my gut tells me [the roommate] did more of the influencing,” she said.

“Everybody in my family wants justice to be served and wants no part in this and wants whoever is involved in whatever way to have to pay for that,” she added.

An FBI official told Fox News Digital that Robinson’s roommate was “extremely cooperative” with authorities and claimed he “had no idea” about any plans to assassinate Kirk.

“What we have learned specifically is that this person did not have any knowledge, was shocked when they found out about it,” Utah Gov. Spencer Cox told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” while speaking of the roommate.

“We’re all drawing lots of conclusions about how someone like this could be radicalized,” Cox said. “And I think that those are important questions for us to ask, and important questions for us to answer.”
