Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has recently come under fire from former President Donald Trump, but he has not responded until now.
During a press conference, DeSantis was asked to respond to “Trump’s big announcement, and some of the less-than-flattering comments he has made” about him.

#BREAKING: DeSantis responds to Trump
“All that’s just noise. What really matters is, are you leading … are you delivering results … I would just tell people to go check out the scoreboard from last Tuesday night.” pic.twitter.com/vQ515uuj47

“Well you know one of the things I’ve learned in this job is, when you’re leading, when you’re getting things done, you take incoming fire. That’s just the nature of it,” DeSantis explained. “I roll out of bed in the morning, I’ve got corporate media outlets that have a spasm just because I’m getting up in the morning. And it’s constantly attacking and this is just what’s happened.”
“I don’t think any governor got attacked more, particularly by corporate media, than me over my four-year term. And yet, I think what you learn is all that’s just noise,” he said. “Really what matters is, are you leading? Are you getting in front of issues? Are you delivering results for people? Are you standing up for folks? And if you do that, then none of that stuff matters.”
DeSantis went on to detail that he has focused more on delivering positive change for the people of Florida, saying that he would “tell people to go check out the scoreboard from last Tuesday night.” This generated applause from the audience and the people standing behind him.
“The fact of the matter is, it was the greatest Republican victory in the history of the state of Florida,” the clip concluded.
Twitter couldn’t get enough:
I love this man so much! I would date him, if he was a woman.

DeSantis scares the Left because he is likeable to a much wider group. Trump was not generally likeable because of his personality, which I thought was effective and often needed in the moment. DeSantis is likeable and effective.

This man totally gets it! The Dems know there is NO CHANCE to defeat DeSantis in 2024, so oddly enough the Dems probably hope Trump will run because they know they can defeat him. pic.twitter.com/Rh7UZB6uht

Brilliant. He didn’t mention Trump or anyone specific but still answered the question. Stay focused on leadership & results. The “noise” doesn’t matter.
