President Donald Trump has weighed in on Lindsay Clancy, who is still receiving donations after the mistrial.
The Clancy case has deeply divided the internet, with millions weighing in on the court proceedings. Some believe she was clinically insane at the time of the murders, while others share conspiracy theories about the father, Patrick Clancy, being involved. Many others argue that mental illness should not be a mitigating factor in the deaths of her three children.
It feels like everyone and their pet goldfish has made their position on the trial clear, and it appears that even the president has been keeping up to date. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office after a mistrial was officially declared, Trump called the situation “a horrible tragedy.”

“It’s a shame, it’s a horrible tragedy. I see what’s happened, and it looks like it’s a hung jury. I think the judge just said it’s gonna be a mistrial, I assume there’s going to be another trial,” he said. “It’s a terrible situation. She did a horrible, horrible thing. Can’t be worse. But you’ll find out what the price to pay is, there’ll be a price. Could be mental institution or jail, or something. But I guess they gotta go through another trial; it’s too bad.”
And the support for Clancy has not waned in light of the mistrial. According to the New York Post, the GoFundMe established for Clancy’s parents announced that the financial goal would be increased to help them bear the financial cost of “being there” for Lindsay. As of this writing, the page indicates $1,172,784 has been raised toward the $3 million goal.

Hard to disagree with that summary. A total nightmare scenario from start to finish, and a retrial is going to drag everyone back through it all over again.

now the big question is whether prosecutors actually go for another trial

Lindsay Clancy is guilty even under lack of criminal responsibility or insanity or medical reasons.
Psychiatric claims don’t stand versus premeditation evidence. She organized and planned her crime.

They have to do right.
Case is important and sets a precedent if she doesn’t get proper punishment.
Think about it..If you are a woman and hate your kids and husband it’ll become really easy to get pregnant and kill the kids claiming PPD or PPP, then get a light sentence.
