For the second consecutive season, the NFL staged a game in São Paolo, Brazil, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers, and the halftime show drew as much attention as the game itself.
Karol G, aka Carolina Giraldo Navarro, a Grammy-winning Colombian singer-songwriter with over 30 billion views on YouTube, performed at the halftime break — rocking a brown and yellow miniskirt and a bra with yellow pineapples for cups. Karol performed a medley of her hit songs.

While the performance was somewhat tame compared to today’s standards for female singers to expose themselves, social media users wondered aloud if the NFL forgot children would be watching the game.

Karol G posted a statement online before the game expressing her appreciation for being asked to do the halftime show.
“I’m so excited to be part of YouTube’s first-ever NFL live broadcast, it’s truly an honor and a moment I’m so proud to be part of,” she said. “I’ve watched many NFL halftime shows over the years and now having this opportunity to bring my music to this global stage means the world to me. I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone in São Paulo and fans all around the world.”
Nonetheless, there were plenty of viewers who believed that the provocative show was inappropriate for young children
