Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie suggested that former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has flipped on his ex-boss and is cooperating with prosecutors in the January 6 case against former President Donald J. Trump.
The former New Jersey governor appeared on Monday’s edition of CNN’s “AC360” where he discussed the latest developments in the Biden regime’s legal onslaught against the 2024 GOP frontrunner with anchor Anderson Cooper who asked Christie whether he thought Meadows would testify against Trump as a witness for the federal government.

“Oh, I’ve said all along I think Mark Meadows is already a cooperating witness,” Christie responded, adding, “He has all the looks of a cooperating witness – running into coffee shops away from the press.”
“And he’s disappeared in the indictment,” Cooper noted. “He’s referenced once or twice.”
“So, when you didn’t see Mark Meadows as an unindicted co-conspirator and you see absolutely no mention of him at all?” Christie added, teasing the possibility that Meadows will be an ace in the hole for special counsel Jack Smith.
“How devastating do you think his testimony could be?” Cooper asked the former prosecutor.
“It could be the worst testimony for him outside the family members because Mark Meadows was with him constantly during that time,” answered Christie, suggesting that Meadows could be immensely damaging to Trump if the feds have succeeded in flipping him.
“He was a very involved chief of staff, in my experience,” Christie stated. “He made sure he was in every meeting and every conversation. And we remember, there are hundreds of text messages that he turned over to the special counsel that he kept.”
Christie, who is far and away the left-wing media’s pick for the GOP nomination, continued to rail against Trump whom he characterized as an angry old man in an interview with Robert Costa of CBS News that aired on Sunday morning.
Trump is a completely self-centered, self-possessed, self consumed, angry old man, and he doesn’t care about anybody else other than himself.

After pointing out that the human torpedo is on a “mission” to take out Trump with a video clip of the ABC News pundit on the campaign trail, Costa let Christie speak for himself, asking “What’s the truth about Trump?”
“He’s a completely self-centered, self-possessed, self-consumed, angry old man, and he doesn’t care about anybody else other than him. And if he were ever to become president again, I’ll take him at his word. He said, ‘I am your retribution.’ Well, he’s not our retribution, Bob. He will be his own retribution,” Christie responded.
“Why is everyone else in the field seemingly avoiding Trump, tiptoeing around him?” Costa asked of the other GOP candidates.
“I think it’s one of two things. They’re either unwilling to do it because they have aspirations, maybe a vice presidential bid or a Trump cabinet, and some of them are just unable to do it. Do you want to be the man, Bob? You got to beat the man,” he said.
