NewsNation host Chris Cuomo took an unexpectedly nasty shot at conservative commentator Megyn Kelly on Monday.
Cuomo took the shot while covering her appearance at former President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Pittsburgh.

“Alright, Megyn Kelly making the closing argument for the man she once despised. Why? Opportunity and advantage,” he began before turning to the rally and letting his viewers hear Kelly speak.
However, Cuomo cut the rally feed off after about two minutes to continue ranting about Kelly.
“I mean, look, it works for her podcast,” he said. “You know, magnifying minorities, picking up on fringe issues, picking on Laken Riley is of course going to hit an emotional note. If you’re worried about homicide in America, is that where your concerns really lie? No, it’s just opportunism. Will it be enough for Trump?”
“The question is, are enough people who are center-left gonna hear somebody like Megyn Kelly and say, ‘Yeah, I gotta vote for him. Doesn’t matter how I feel about him?’ Or are there more people who are center-right who are gonna listen to Megyn Kelly and be like, ‘Ugh, I’m so disgusted she’s on my side. I can’t vote for this guy.’ Look at his face. He said the worst things about Megyn Kelly until she did the only thing you need to do to be okay with Trump: compliment him,” he added.
Cuomo then tried to switch topics but was interrupted by a producer telling him to continue airing footage of Kelly speaking at the rally. In response, Cuomo ignored the producer and proceeded to start taking calls from his show’s own viewers.
Now, in Kelly’s defense, Trump trash-talked her years ago during the 2016 presidential election — the same election during which he also trash-talked Sen. Ted Cruz, who at the time was running against him.
Years later, Cruz remains a staunch Trump ally because he chose to let bygones be bygones. The same appears to be the case for Kelly, who in fact, first voted for Trump in 2020 — not 2022.
Speaking about her vote last April, she admitted that the decision didn’t come easy. It required her to put aside years of beef between her and Trump to vote for the man she knew would ultimately steer America in the right direction.

“I had a long, contentious relationship with Donald Trump,” she began. “Going into the 2020 election, I did not know whether I could pull the lever for him. I really didn’t.”
“The world had shifted under our feet. It had gone crazy with DEI and with the trans ideology nonsense that was being shoved down my own kids’ throats at school. And I really wrestled with it,” she added.
Despite her hesitancy, she ultimately voted for Trump to prevent precisely what’s been happening now under Democrat President Joe Biden — such as the total rewrite of Title IX to favor “transgender women” over women, and to deny young men due process rights.
“I voted for Donald Trump to prevent things like this, like what happened today with Title IX,” Kelly said. “When I saw the news of what Joe Biden just did to women’s rights, and due process for young men on college campuses, and free speech, I was horrified. And my second reaction was at least I don’t have this blood on my hands.”
“I am ashamed of Joe Biden! I am disgusted at Miguel Cardona! What happened today as a result of the change in Title IX is that your daughter or you – if you are a college-age woman – will now have to go into your college bathroom or your college locker room and be faced with men posing as women, many of whom are only there because they get off on wearing women’s clothing,” she added.
As for her relationship with Cuomo, the two have been at each other’s throats since at least 2015.
Chris Cuomo’s disgraceful COVID behavior began long ago: “faking his emergence from basement quarantine on CNN; spanked by his NYC building for repeatedly entering, exiting & riding the elevator w/o a mask, & flexing his muscles & admiring himself in that same mirrored elevator.” https://t.co/m4yJC7Qgh9

The trash-talk continued up through 2022 when Cuomo launched his NewsNation show.
“No one’s gonna listen to him,” she said at the time. “What right-leaning person is gonna say, I accept Chris Cuomo as my voice of the middle, who’s not going to manipulate me by manufactured division. Bullshit. A certain male gesture comes to mind.”
Notice how her trash-talking sounded eerily similar to Cuomo’s own complaints about her. That doesn’t seem like a coincidence.
