MSNBC’s Chris Matthews has resurrected himself and is warning American voters that the mentally unstable rural cultists who support former President Trump will turn out to vote and need to be countered.
Matthews joined Democrat Claire McCaskill Wednesday on “Morning Joe” to blast the ‘rural cultists’ who they claim pose a dire threat to civil rights. They apparently consider themselves progressive elitists and are warning others that the unwashed masses who live in rural America are out to get them.
Matthews admonished those who want to keep their civil rights to get out and vote to counter those he deems as crazy cultists on the right.
Scarborough added to that screwy logic the falsehood that anyone who doesn’t vote for Trump will be bullied into not casting a ballot in the Iowa caucuses.

McCaskill was on board with that assessment, claiming that “if you are not on Donald Trump’s bandwagon, if you’re not a member of the cult, then you just stay quiet.”
“Iowa is days away. New Hampshire is coming up. And Donald Trump, given this conversation, even, is the clear frontrunner,” co-host Mika Brzezinski lamented.
“You know, I think President Biden gave a good speech on Friday. I think he began the conversation about the Constitution and democracy. But I think he has to turn the corner and go to the next step. The reason we love our democracy. The reason we all love it is, if we don’t like the government and they’re doing something, we can do something about it. The 18th amendment was founded, was followed by the 21st amendment. You can drink beer if you want to. It was corrected,” Matthews commented.
“If women want the right to the body, their own protection of their own body. They want to have — so they go and vote in Ohio and they just say, we’re going to win this one. And you can do this. But the voter does have a role to play. The court system will put the bad guys in jail, the ones who were lied to by the president, former president, in jail. They’re doing all that, right? They’re going to plead guilty, they’re going to go away. But in the end, the voters have to vote for their rights. You got to vote for civil rights,” he added making little to no sense whatsoever.
So Chris Matthews is officially back at MSNBC, it appears.
Message is as unhinged as usual.
Either way, congrats to Comcast and NBC for hiring back a guy originally ousted for sexual harassment allegation that he admitted to. #KnowYourValue https://t.co/CwUvavlNCm

He went on to talk about the threat rural Americans pose to the rights of women and blacks. Matthews also blathered on about distrust of the police and abortion.
“Voters have to get out there and say, ‘Dammit, if I’m a young person, if I’m a black person, if I’m out in the streets, and I don’t trust the cops, I got to vote that way.’ And if I’m a woman, I want to protect myself and my own decisions, I’ve got to vote that way,” Matthews proclaimed.
“This election is going to be close. And it’s going very close to a place like Pennsylvania, and you’re going to have rural people out there voting their craziness about the cult,” he contended. “So you better be there to match them. And you got to be there to vote against that. And I’m telling you, this is really important that you vote for your rights.”
Users on X just couldn’t help themselves and ripped Matthews to shreds:
He was panhandling outside and they let him in to use the bathroom.

People who don’t live shoulder to shoulder in a blue echo chamber? People who own property, work the land and live a lifestyle that traces back influences to the founders of the nation?

So that thrill running up his leg was really of fear of rural people?

This absolutely sounds like a call for violence against Republicans.
